Pete Incaviglia has the record for homeruns in a college baseball career at 100 (Furniss #4 at 80 btw). No one says Jocelyn Alo (who?) has more homeruns than him even though she had 122 in her college softball career.

They are different sports.

There are only about 12 good D-1 programs. The rest pretty much suck. Surprised it took this long for a star talent to light up the sport, but records are kept separately.

I hardly ever post but this one deserves a post. In no way, shape, or form is she breaking the record. Do ever put the two in the same sentence.

if you want any sort of decent comparison, subtract 1 point from every 3 that clark made, which is like 500 points

Honestly thought this record was unbreakable

Compare them side by side and it's not even close. Did Pete have a 3pt line??? No, then take every 3pt shot she made and make it a 2pt.... then how close is she.

Pete just didn't have the grit and determination to get the rules changed in his favor then

Libs and anyone with a financial stake in it will forever try to put mens sports and womens sports on an equal level.

Reasonable people will always realize that there is a vast difference.

Now do the Pistol if he had a three point perimeter.

Regardless of the arguments you still have to put the ball through the net.

*Pistol Pete played with no 3pt line either

First, nice troll.
Second, she has 0 points scored in D-1 men’s college basketball. So, not that close at all.

If nothing else the conversation is bringing Pistol Pete back into the mainstream.
If I'm the family I would be ecstatic that they are still discussing Pistol Pete in any way, shape or form.
Do you really think if he was alive he would be disparaging her. My guess is he would be encouraging what she has done for the sport at the collegiate level.

Uh...shot clock wasn't an issue.

Pistol averaged a whopping 40 fg attempts for his Collegiate career. (Nice when Dad is the coach).

Clark is averaging around 20, so give her some due.
