It feels as if Jim Crane thinks he was the one who fielded these championship winning teams. Started trying to call the shots with the Abreu deal and then the Montero deal and watched the whole thing fall apart when the injury bug came back around after such a lucky year last year.

What a clown show. You get what you deserve. I'm glad the Astros had the run they did and got to experience it firsthand but wow..

Considering that the Astros won the World Series in 2022, bashing the owner might be a tad premature.

In a 6 year period, under his ownership, the team has one 5 division pennants, 4 AL pennants, and 2 WS pennants.

In the same period, Jerruh has won 2 division titles, 0 league championships, and 0 Super Bowls.

I think there is a bit of a difference between the two.

I don't particularly want Crane micromanaging, but he has FAR earned that right more than Jerruh has.

Not 2/3 thru a season as defending WS champs, 1 game out of a wild card round bye, while dealing with injuries to your two best offensive players and best pitcher. But yeah, the run is over, no chance at all of any post season success. Again.

Crane and Bagwell weren't playing GM, and had nothing to do with the World Series roster decisions.

Crane did and though I was not a fan of the moves the OP mentioned, team will finish the day at worst 2 games back in the division and in the 3rd WC, hardly a disaster. The biggest blunder was firing Luhnow, it wasn’t necessary , he was suspended for a year, the RedSox brought back Cora after a year. Meanwhile Luhnow’s guys have Baltimore in contention. The new GM was part of the Braves organization that obviously has it going on, hopefully he works out well now that they have draft picks again.

Real tell will be what they do about Tucker

Bump.

Tried to tell y'all. Hader fricking blows it again.

Astros won two rings in spite of Crane's meddling.

He glazes over getting to rub shoulders with Bagwell & Biggio. Bet you anything they mentioned Billy Wagner to him and the good ole days when the Astros would lose in the 1st round every year

The Astros have had the most-successful run in the history of Houston sports teams under Crane.

If he’s like Jerruh - its first-decade Cowboys Jerruh.

That is exactly what it is

We are in the early Jerry years right now for the Crane Astros
