Sad thing is he didn't develop at all. They did a horrible job at Michigan coaching that kid last year. He'd flourish under a coach like Kiffin IMO.

Id rather have Sam Leavitt at LSU but Underwood would be fun

Syracuse should call him, too. We need more than one competent quarterback. Steve Angeli got hurt, Rickie Collins was a bust and there was no third option. No telling when Steve's gonna be ready to play, Coach Brown needs two portal qbs.

he bolts, they save a lot of nil, or some one does

they should worry about all of the players who can leave, because this opens up a portal for them when a coach leaves

The bigger question is will anyone pay him what Michigan was based on the film he’s put out there?

He’s probably just testing the waters and will stay once no one comes close to matching what they’re locked in to.

his cost isnt worth the play of offering him.

I'd be much happier if Missouri goes after the Kid from UNLV or Delaware. Who are developed, and ready to go.

I'm just saying we need quarterbacks, and these are two good ones, don't be hating.

Do any contracts for NIL contain a buyout? How can a buyout be in a contract when the single rule the NCAA has states NIL cannot be used as an inducement to attend a university?

Such a stupid line by the NCAA

I’d take Underwood at LsU. I just don’t think Michigan was a fit.

Outside that, I hope that his sub par year combined with the large funds he received and his entering the portal, slows the NIL train a bit.

Hopefully these massive boosters that have legit frick you money stop making these bad investments

Troy Aikman had a similar incident recently and said he's done with NIL.

I hope more of this happens b/c it's fricking stupid. I don't care how much money you have, why would you give it to some kid coming out of high school to come play for your school when you have no idea if he'll be any good or not, or if he'll even want to continue to play for your team after a year. The NIL system is stupid in its current form.

No, it doesn't.

The portal opens for them the same time as everyone else.

Not understanding the hype after watching him in the OSU game. Doesn't seem like a Kiffin QB at all.
Well, for one he was a true freshman. IF Kiffin pursues him and lands him, odds are he's going to do very well.
Also on the flip side, if Kiffin doesn't pursue him, if I'm another coach that gives me pause (unless it's about the kind of money he's looking for)
