Yep.

Look, if I were a UGA I'd want that kid out there ASAP but there is ZERO reason for him to have a surgical procedure to rush back to play college football. He has given that program more than they could have ever hoped for. It'll be interesting to see how Kirby handles this.

With the way tight ends are used as weapons in the NFL, this dude is gonna light up the league.

Hope he recovers 100%. Sucks that someone who should already be in the NFL making millions got hurt.

if doctors determine he needs TightRope surgery on his ankle.

Alabama would have already scheduled it.

Maybe you should go look up some articles and videos on how the surgeons that do the operation refer to it.

Here are some quotes you might encounter
"the syndemosis tightrope repair"
"the tightrope has been a big addition to my practice"

Seems pretty easy to figure out why people refer to this surgery as the tight rope surgery.

Assuming Georgia has something to play for in December

If not, he’ll opt out

I’ve done the operation. I used to use it on most of my ankle fractures. I know very well what it is.

The operation is a syndesmosis repair. The fact people refer to it as Tight Rope surgery is due to Arthrex’s marketing. There is a very good chance the surgeon might not even use a Tightrope and use another suture button from another company.

Do you get your panties in a knot when people call it Tommy JOhn instead of ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction? Or Kleenex instead of a disposable facial tissue?

Unless you came up with some kind of competing procedure that nobody knows about because of the marketing of "tightrope", I don't know why you're in such a tizzy about this.

We get it, you're in the field. 99.99% of people that follow sports or read articles about this don't give the slightest frick about the actual medical name of it.

I find it funny how every other team's fanbase is suggesting he should start preparing for the nfl

lol yeah I've noticed that. Every team left on our schedule seems to have people showing their utmost sympathy and sincere condolences and wish nothing for the best for the young man, meaning he needs to go ahead and recover now and get ready for the league.

I think if they get there, LSU would beat UGA in Atlanta. Tennessee might beat them too.

We’ve had players opt out mid season, but who the frick opts out when they still have a natty in front of them? It definitely does not matter at all they’ve already won two. I’d understand if he opted out, but I’d be very surprised.

I blow my nose in a kleenex and put bandaids on wounds, regardless of brand.

Maybe so. But with the meat of their schedule still ahead of them: Florida, Mizzou, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped 1-2 games there. Without Bowers, UGA's offense is far from elite.

LSU is winning out and will knock off UGA in Atlanta. LSU-Bama is going to be wild.

Our season is pretty much over. I dont think Beck is bad at all but the defense has pretty significantly regressed from the near historic past 2 seasons, we are absolutely obliterated by injuries, and I find it hard to believe coming off 2 natties cant have some effect of sapping your effort or drive. We will likely still go 12-0 and maybe probably win the SEC champ but will get bounced round 1 in the playoffs
