the rumor is he banged the #1 pick (Connor Bedard)'s mom.
Maybe he just hit on her while drunk or something but the 38 year old is being sent packing after mom's night.
Maybe they weren't clear on what kind of mentoring they expected
Although Perry's play on the ice was helping the team, the unacceptable conduct off the ice has severed the relationship between franchise and player.

Funniest thing I saw on NHL twitter was them saying Corey was playing the long game to get back at Bedard for some offhanded Xbox comments from back in the day, lol.
