Never understood why this board has so many losers who would crawl through broken glass to lick a cop's butthole.

Predictably it'll be framed as racist Southern cops instead of what it really is, overzealous narcotics officers harassing out of state traffic on the interstate. It's not rare and it's not unique to black people.

True but I am sure a group of young, black women with out of state plates were prime candidates for this harrassement.

Kind of leaning to their side on this one because I am sick of the aggressive policing in the name of the so called "war on drugs"

This is ridiculous also. Hey, we found some drugs in your neighbor's garage, so now we're gonna need to search your shed.

It is ridiculous but I've seen something similar happen to a guy I knew. His neighbors got into a domestic argument and the wife called the cops. After she did the husband split and hid out somewhere.

The cops started searching the area and went into my buddy's shed and found some marijuana plants he had just cropped. Talk about some piss poor luck and the law made the charges stick

I know this isn't the exact same thing as what happened here but what you said just reminded me of it

Sounds like your buddy should have locked his shed.

Bad luck but your buddy should've directed them off his property and taken better measures to keep random people from being able to access the property and his shed.

Why isn't the shed locked to begin with?

Some of the most important info I ever gained, back when I grew, was a book I bought that covered anything and everything about security.

The article never said if the bus driver gave permission to search the bus.

You think the bus driver can give permission to search the students personal belongings?

Obviously, the ticket was a pretense to conduct an unlawful search.
a traffic violation doesn't give them the right to search the vehicle. That's why they bring out the K-9 unit that somehow always seems to "indicate" even when no drugs are found in the resulting search. It's a criminal racket

I’ve also had a cop ask to search the vehicle when I was in a car with friends and got pulled over for speeding. My friend complied and we didn’t have anything but I didn’t like it at all. So I’m not naïve about it.
depending on the attitude of the cop, I probably would as well because the right a-hole can cause me a lot more problems than I can cause him. It sucks that we have to be afraid to exercise our rights but when you're face down on the asphalt getting cuffed its too late to choose the path of least resistance.

I guarantee there is more to the story. Police don’t search a school bus with a lacrosse team for no reason.

Maybe, just maybe, the bus smelled like weed?

Convenient how that was left out of the story.

Or it wasnt mentioned because maybe, just maybe, it didnt.

Why the frick are you asking me, I never said it did. But, now that you mention it, rural Georgia, black people, an illegal search. Sometimes a duck is a duck.
