because the owner...started Rob Johnson.

And not Flutie.

Flutie lead them to a 10-4 record.

That Bills team was way better than Tennessee and there's no Music City Miracle if the Bills start the guy who won them all their games and not the suck arse backup QB.

Johnson was sacked 6 times (Flutie was rarely sacked) completed only 10 passes and no Tds.

It was the worst playoff performance by a QB ever...and the Bills still barely lost.

Imagine if Flutie had started?

Flutie would probably have a Super Bowl title.

Bills were way better than the Titans and the Titans made the Super Bowl to barely lose to the Rams.

Rob Johnson played the worst game of any QB in NFL playoff history and the Titans needed a miracle to win that game.

Bills beat Rams with Flutie. And Flutie gets his Super Bowl.

If the fricking Titans can almost beat the Rams, Flutie would have with a way better Bills team without a retard at QB in Rob Johnson.

You say this twice, but I have a hard time believing this. Just off the top of my head, in the 91 AFC Title game, Raiders QB was Jay Schroeder. He went 13 for 31 for 150 yards and 5 interceptions. The Raiders lost 51-3..

Btw, in the Music City Miracle, Johnson actually outplayed the Titan QB, McNair (LINK )..

Johnson was 10 for 22 for 131 yards with 0 tds and 0 ints.
McNair was 13 for 24 for 76 yards with 0 tds and 1 int.

Im fuzzy on the details of this. Why didn't the owner start Flutie? Some personal vendetta?

How long has this bothered you? It seems like you've holding on to this for a while. Let it out man, this is a safe space just like on your campus

Actually, it was the Jaguars that got screwed. They went 14-2, both losses being to the Titans. They crushed the Dolphins 62-7 and sent Marino into retirement. If the Bills started Flutie, Jacksonville has one in the trophy case.

They lost 4 Super Bowls and a L in the divisional round is what screwed them out of a Super Bowl?

How about that missed FG vs the Giants?

Don't want to hear about bone headed decisions by a head coach and general manager....., see Marty Schottenheimer/ Carl Peterson, Chiefs vs Broncos 1998 playoff Arrowhead. The Chiefs had Rich Gannon sitting on the bench and decided to play Grbac... Chiefs lost 10-14. This is after Gannon had stepped in for an injured Grbac and won like 5 of 6 down the stretch. Gannon leaves the Chiefs for da Raiders and he takes them to the SB 2002 while winning league MVP. Grbac is remembered by no one except pissed off Chiefs fans.

The Jags would have worked the Bills like a cheap hooker. Tennessee just had Jacksonville's number that year for some reason.

The NFL playoffs should be a time you can vent on any past NFL game. I applaud the OP.

I got one: the missed call on the blatant PI on the final play of the 2002 Giants/49ers game is in the pantheon of missed calls. 39-38. Botched snap, holder throws up a pass to the lineman who is dragged down. Only a flag on offense. Bummer.

But to your point - do you really think Buffalo could’ve taken down the Rams?
