Seeing on Twitter that apparently Tim Brando has reported that the vote to cancel the season was 8-6 and not 12-2. Has anyone seen anywhere the schools that voted to keep the season and the schools that voted not to?

Update: here is link to tweet LINK

why can't they just put it in on the
individual schools and go from there..

if 8/12 wanna play then there you go. you play with 8 teams.

If OSu, PSU, Mich are part of that 8 person vote to delay I could serious some serious serious fallback from their fan bases.

It was 12-2 until the SEC and ACC told them to shove it and they are playing

The Big 10 looked like total pussies including Ohio State so they did damage control in the media to try and not look as bad

Don’t buy this nonsense for a second

Michigan & Michigan State voted against playing

quote:

Michigan president Mark Schlissel, a medical doctor with expertise in immunology, tweeted that there are "too many poorly understood health & safety concerns unique to intercollegiate athletics to move forward at present."

quote:

MSU president Samuel Stanley told an advisory group for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Monday there would be no college football this fall, two other sources said. Stanley’s remarks confirmed what the Free Press reported early that day.

Both Stanley (immunology and infectious diseases) and U-M president Mark Schlissel (immunology and internal medicine) are medical doctors
.

Sounds like Wisconsin said no
quote:

For many months, we had hoped that the return of fall collegiate sports might be an opportunity to restore some sense of normalcy and provide brighter moments for our university, our city and our state. Even so, today’s decision by the Big Ten to postpone the fall 2020 sports season is the correct one.

It was made with the input of medical professionals and with the best interests of student-athletes, fans and staff at its core. Athletic Department staff have worked incredibly hard to create as safe an environment as possible for our teams to practice and prepare for the season, but there is simply too much unknown risk for us to proceed with the confidence we need to launch our sports seasons. At the end of the day, the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff is our top priority

Nebraska and Iowa medical teams said it was safe for them to play. Purdue's President is the former Republican Gov., who was in favor of pushing the schedule back a few weeks.
Ohio State wanted to play
quote:

Even though Smith(Gene Ohio St. AD) favored pushing forward and felt Ohio State could safely manage the risks, he wasn't surprised by the league's decision.

This was the second vote they took on Tuesday. Looks like some presidents backtracked after heavy criticism but not enough.

Revisionist history will mark the voting at 14-0 unanimous decision.

Count on this

I don't understand how they can allow kids on campus, yet cancel football.

If kids can be in school they can play sports. Universities are so hypocritical.
