will prohibit Jim Harbaugh from being on the sideline

He should buy front row tickets behind Michigan’s bench and coach from there.

So wearing a disguise and spy sunglasses from another schools sidelines isnt nefarious?

they should be punished for it, but it really isn't that big a deal from what teams already have from a competitive standpoint.

Right, but they are allowed to possess information derived from the videos

Might as well just take suspension now and that way if they do win out you can coach the playoffs

They should really just file some sort of appeal and get it pushed back as long as possible.

i played and coached college football and every team i'm aware of has people that get video of other teams for them. not so prevalent outside of fbs, but it's been common practice for quite some time. i'm not sure if it's illegal in high school now, but when i was playing in high school we had volunteers on staff who would go scout the other team a week before we played them

Teams share film. High schools scout in person but can't take video (against the rules to video a contest you aren't participating in), at least in Ohio. Colleges don't need to scout in person because it's a) against the rules b) the film is so good with multiple angles, that it's unnecessary.

You sound like someone that doesn't know anything about what goes on in inside a college football program.

Interesting how it comes down before biggest games against Penn St and Ohio St

very interesting indeed.

harbaugh coaching from the booth might end up being an advantage.

"let's give harbaugh another point of view"

Why do you hate capital letters?

Yup all of them do, its called game footage. Not everyone has videos of the other teams sidelines and signals. Its the distinction that makes what Michigan did technically against the rules.

Yup Everyone did that. What they didnt do is video the game or sideline. Coaches traded game film all the time. But again, thats the same footage that one would get from a broadcast.

This is about as minimal punishment as they could have given them. Doesn’t mean much if he’s part of game prep during the week.

The more I think about it, the more this is just the dumbest penalty of all time. Either suspend him if you have evidence he did something wrong or don't. This half meassure is just comical and looking like Petitti got bullied into doing "something."

Yeah, he’s trying real hard to diminish what Michigan did. To the point that he made up that all football programs hire third-parties to go do what stallions did

Especially if it's really just, "you can't be on the sidelines, but you can be in the booth". How is that even a penalty? At that point, it's just like you are fricking with Michigan to appease the other schools.

You're admitting that you had people video tape games that the team you were affiliated with wasn't participating in?

Are you Connor Stalions?

The Big 10 release makes it clear he can't be in the stadium

I guess this is what happens when conference attorneys are afraid of retaliation from the university.

Should have banned all the assistants and forced Harbaugh to coach game day by himself.
