Harbaugh winning % at Michigan before cheating was roughly 69%. Roughly 91% since then. And 1-6 in bowl games.

I understand what it is supposed to be but I asked for where youve read or seen 3rd party services. You claimed every team uses them so what Stallions did isnt a big deal.

I always assumed the schools analysts did all the scouting and not a 3rd party scouting service.

Or are you saying that every school hires someone not affliated with them to hire some people to go scout games. Like a staffing agency. Lol could you imagine the job posting. "Did you always want to be a spy, well here's your chance!"

analysts use the video obtained by direct or indirect methods to analyze the other team. 3rd party just means someone who isn't on staff got the video/information.

some of you seem to think something nefarious is going on here when there isn't. stalions was definitely a dumbass for how he went about it. also, if that's him on the cmu sideline while he was also employed by michigan is an absolute no-no. michigan and anyone else who gets caught up in this dragnet, because that's what it is now whether they know it or not, should be punished accordingly. all the talk of forfeiture and suspensions is ridiculous.

stealing signals can be an advantage, but every team does it. it's part of college football. stalions paying 3rd parties himself to do the same thing everyone else does is what this is all about. he probably didn't even realize he needed an intermediary.

it's not so much a rule that teams can use a third party, it's that there isn't an ncaa rule against joe s. superfan videoing a game with his phone. there's a rule for staff doing it, especially with "advanced technology".

at the time the rule was written, we weren't all running around with cell phones (1994). the amount of media that teams have on each other nowadays is enormous.

the main punishment will be if it's proven that he was indeed on the sidelines for the cmu vs michst game while employed by michigan as an analyst.

i'm not 100% certain, but gun to my head, i think someone from inside michigan initiated all this as a smear campaign on harbaugh.

I understand fully what 3rd party means, Im once again asking you to provide details of where you came across this information that teams use these 3rd party scouting services. You 1st said every team uses a "3rd party scouting service". I asked for proof of those types of services and you avoided the question. Then you said they use go betweens.

So in other words you are making shite up to support your bias that every team does it.

Sources: The Big Ten is expected discipline Michigan for the in the in-person scouting and ongoing sign stealing investigation and will prohibit Jim Harbaugh from being on the sideline until the conclusion of the regular season. He will be allowed to coach during the week.

So wearing a disguise and spy sunglasses from another schools sidelines isnt nefarious?

They are not allowed to possess the materials even if a 3rd party obtained the videos.

Look we can debate penalties, spirit of the rule, everyone else is doing it, etc.

Plain and simple based on the ridiculously hilarious info we have, Michigan cheated according to the way the rules are written and Stallions is an absolute lunatic.

I doubt he's allowed at the stadium at all on game days but the tweet is poorly written.

i played and coached college football and every team i'm aware of has people that get video of other teams for them. not so prevalent outside of fbs, but it's been common practice for quite some time. i'm not sure if it's illegal in high school now, but when i was playing in high school we had volunteers on staff who would go scout the other team a week before we played them.

most of you sound like people who have no idea what goes on inside a college football program.

it's highly unlikely conor stalions gained anything that no one else did from all this.

Apparently the B1G offices haven’t gotten word to the Michigan football team yet as they are currently 35,000 feet in the air.

Might as well just take suspension now and that way if they do win out you can coach the playoffs

Interesting how it comes down before biggest games against Penn St and Ohio St
