I cant beleive nobody has come out with FOIA emails from the Big 10 yet

They better pray there is nothing on those emails about the election or players unionizing

yup 100. they want others to restart, have an "outbreak", then cancel and be like "we told you so". that's exactly how soys operate. live in fear.

Also, how much of a garbage conference is the Pac 12 that no one gives a shite about them cancelling?

It’s pretty hilarious. Not a peep from the players, parents, coaches.

“What, our season is canceled? Cool beans.”

Gee, I wonder what will be different in November? If only there was some specific reason for that timeframe...

This is stupid. For them to have games turkey day weekend, means they will need to start fall camp before Halloween, i.e. before the election.

If anything, this thought should kill the idea that they are trying to influence the election.

About the only Pac team anyone cares about at the moment is Washington and that whole league has fallen apart since Oregon was in the title game with Auburn.

The general belief, IMHO, is them not playing will be of little difference to the CFP because they won’t qualify anyway.

My first theory off the top of my head is that they hope everyone else will delay until November In hopes of a fully operational season to buy them more time to convince people to cancel

Exactly my first thought.

They’re still trying to strong arm the other leagues. Create headaches for the CFP by scheduling their season before the others end. They hope with enough pressure one of the other leagues will cave and postpone and start the domino effect they thought would happen earlier.

Desperation at this point to save face

They need to shite or get off the pot.

And if they shite, they need to flush the individuals who rammed this through.

The election is in November and a lot of shutdowns will be done after that. So why not the Big Ten?

SEC, Big 12, and ACC please don't fall for this. The conference that led the charge to cancel the season and expected everyone else to follow suit isn't going to play in November. But they're shitting that players are looking to transfer and it's tough to recruit against teams like LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, etc. when they're playing and you're not.

100% a bullshite effort to save face after the other 3 conferences embarrassed them. Its going to be a pressure campaign from the B1G to delay their seasons and get on the B1G timelines so that everybody is playing the same playoff/bowl schedule.

So that happens and then what? We sit around and wait for the B1G to yank the rug out from everyone and cancel again? 100% an effort to put the B1G in a position of power over everyone else and kick the can down the road on playing the season. The other 3 conferences need to unite and rebuke the B1G and tell them we're playing in late September with or without you but we won't delay our seasons further.

It's all damage control and complete bullshite. The coaches may want one thing and I believe plenty of them wanted to play but this has been about the university presidents and admin that are calling the shots. Until I see a report where coaches AND admins are meeting together then you'll know something.

This is all purely political and them trying to cease the impending law suits coming.

Their solution is to begin the season 2 weeks before everyone else’s ends? The incompetence of the B1G is staggering. Delaney is for sure shaking his head.

Start October. Teams get one bye. 10 game schedule. Ohio State remains eligible for the CFP.

This isn’t hard.
