I guess myocarditis will be solved in those 6 weeks eh?

This entire pandemic shows why having the mindset "he is rich/he is in a position of power so he cant be stupid" mindset is so flawed

My first theory off the top of my head is that they hope everyone else will delay until November In hopes of a fully operational season to buy them more time to convince people to cancel

By the time their shitty season ends, LSU will have already hoisted the CFP trophy.

This how I see it. It's absolutely a stalling tactic in the hopes the other leagues are forced to cancel.

Also buys them time with the upset parents/lawsuit if they can move up the carrot on the imaginary stick they are trying to create with spring ball

frick em. You don’t get to participate in the CFP because you had to virtue signal and drag your feet.

The parents aren’t suing for a restart, they are suing for transparency as to how they came to the decision.

That’s a battle they should be able to win given that the only private institution involved is Northwestern IIRC.

Exactly. I just don't know how much time it can really buy you. The charade will end at some point right?

Gee, I wonder what will be different in November? If only there was some specific reason for that timeframe...

It is obvious, at this point, to Big Ten officials that the SEC, ACC, and Big 12 are going to attempt to play their seasons. The fact that we have an FBS game set to kick off without a hitch in 6 days (knock on wood) is solidifying that.

The Big Ten has been backed into a corner. They tried to bully everyone else, but they were the ones who ended up being ganged up on.

Convienently after Nov 3

This is all so political at this point and the decision is purely driven by the presidential election.

So this all goes away in November

The players aren’t allowed to transfer and the season will still be a disaster.

What fools the big 10 are.

the Big 10 is the gift that keeps on giving.

NCAA needs to set a hard stance on either playing in the fall or not at all. Quit pussy footing around it.

Warren knows he'd have to release information/communication/documents related to cancelling the season based on the lawsuit and the only way around that is to backtrack on his decision to cancel.

Wouldn't be surprised if there were emails between him and Gretchen Whitmer's staff.

Also, how much of a garbage conference is the Pac 12 that no one gives a shite about them cancelling?
