This is the difference between people who genuinely want to play and ones who just want to score political point.

And I don’t think it ends well for the school presidents either way because they will get the blame.

Start October. Teams get one bye. 10 game schedule. Ohio State remains eligible for the CFP.

This isn’t hard.

Which means the B1G leadership will frick it up.

Definitely not getting my hopes up.

I wouldn’t either. It’s been a slow motion train wreck for weeks now.

They aren't going to frick it up for any reason other than doing the bidding of the left.

I know you want the season and you are reasonable but holy frick the optics of all this haha

They literally cited this post heart issue as the reason they had to cancel just like the pac 12 and now they are going to reverse course?

I mean fricking hell. It tells anyone with a brain this was all purely political to effect Nov 3.

I think there’s no way this doesn’t go through. It was so dumb to cancel 3 weeks before they had to. Take it on the chin as a conference and play football in October

Kevin Warren’s first initiative was to encourage players to voice their opinions and vote.

Now he just wishes they would shut up and fall in line.

Funny how that works.

Reports that Jim Harbaugh didn't participate/was excluded from the Coaches Call today

It sounds like it wasn't a formal discussion but more getting on the same page on something to present to the Presidents/Warren.

So basically a non-story.

When I read(tweet below) that one coach was denying they met, was wondering who wasn't on the call.

quote:

Tom Dienhart
@TomDienhart1
Just texted with a Big Ten head coach. I asked: Did you guys meet this morning?:

"If they met ... it wasn’t a scheduled meeting and I wasn’t in attendance!!

"We definitely did not meet this morning. I assume the next meeting will be next Thursday. That’s when we usually meet."

Haha I was wondering the same after Dienharts tweet.

I don’t have really any hope for the season. But how mad would little PJ Fleck and the team be if they had to row the boat back to the practice field and get ready for a season?

Pat Forde
@ByPatForde
Sources: Big Ten discussing myriad football scheduling options, but reversing course and playing now is “wishful thinking” on the part of some coaches and unlikely. Per
@jaypo1961
, a Thanksgiving start is one option. Most likely is still winter.

Gee, I wonder what will be different in November? If only there was some specific reason for that timeframe...

What's been different since February?

The powers that be keep pushing things further into the future...we've been wearing masks since March, has any of that changed?

California doesn't even want the Pac12 to play Spring sports.

So what happened today was a call with the Return to Competition committee.

It seems that these are coaches, ADs, health professionals, etc. that want to have a fall season. They are hoping to have several proposals together to present to the Presidents and Warren next week. They hope to include an early October start date (Oct. 3 or Oct. 10) which would allow for a 10 game season finished by Early/Mid December and have the B1G champion eligible for the CFP.

Some have hinted that this group may be leaking info to put more pressure on the Presidents to go along with the October plan.

We'll see.

This is so dumb. Why even cancel in the first place making this so much harder?
