Best “circus-catch” receivers in NFL history

I honestly would have never put Courtland Sutton on this list in a million years

It’s obvious, but Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald are the two I thought of immediately.

Definitely nowhere near the all time greats in terms of overall ability, but if there’s one thing he does do it’s make acrobatic catches. Constantly.

He’s a quirky WR. I’ve seen him drop so many easy ones, and then make up for it with some catch I’d expect to see from someone like Randy Moss.

Not in the NFL but OBJ's casual one handed catch on a Georgia KO vs LSU was nuts.

D Hop comes to mind right away

Most of the ones named so far fit the bill. Odell, Jarvis, Brandon Lloyd, D Hop.

Some others were Santonio Holmes (more acrobatic than one handed), i hate him but Mike Evans seems to one hand a ton of balls.

Polomalu, Patrick Peterson, and Brent Grimes on defense.

The gloves no doubt help, but I don't know if they're any more effective than stick um.

There was about a 15 year period after they banned stick um into the late 90s where there was really no help from gloves at all. Even the cutter gloves weren't great. The modern gloves came into play about 25 years ago but weren't used by everyone until the mid 2000s. When I was in middle school, I remember Jason David threw me his glove after a Saints game. I remember the glove being significantly worse than what I was using in middle school football

So outside of like 1981-1998, guys have had something that could help.
