All conference winners plus a few wildcards fixes that but the P5s are too damn greedy for the rational approach to be taken. Every single other level of football does it that way. There is no legitimate reason FBS can't do it too.
But...but...no one would tune in to watch Alabama curb stomp App St./Cincinnati/UofH in the first round!! Would be horrible boring football!

What school is he talking about? Last I checked there isn't a school named "Louisiana" playing in D1.
He said Ragin Cajuns so I assume he is talking about ULaLa.
These are exactly the types of replies I was hoping for. Defending national champ's fans getting all worked up over "Louisiana" is fun.

I don’t project. I don’t predict. I try to not base anything on previous season results.
Then how could he possibly say which wins are good if he hasn’t already set an arbitrary baseline? I’m fine with USL being voted #1 today based on their win, but let’s not suck each others’ unbiased dicks just yet, writer. There is an obvious flaw in your logic.

People already tune in to see Bama decimate Midwest Technical State on SECN.
Every school legitimately having a chance to win it all is good for the sport.

Knowing Berry personally it has to be tounge in cheek gig at the institution of college football and the state of the sport.
By the way he is very religious, great Father, and doesn't drink.

I understand what you are saying and agree to a certain extent but it's not like the pros.
There are usually only a small handful of teams that have a legitimate chance at winning the championship and adding more teams just waters it down IMO.

Clearly he didn’t watch one second of the game. Or else he’d know that until ISU quit on themselves the last 5 minutes of the game, ULL was objectively good on 3 plays all day.
And two of them were on special teams.

Because the system is rigged for those teams to win it. You let every conference champion (let conference decide its champion) in from FBS and fill rest with top Indy and or wild cards for 16 teams it’s perfect. It’s legitimate for every level of football but 1 (FBS). The brainwashing worked

This is one of the worst sports takes I've ever seen on the internet. Even removing my bias.

This is the main reason it's dumb as frick there are only 4 playoff slots.
You're dumb as frick. I can think of maybe two times a worthy team got left out of the CFP

It tends to be the dumber LSU fans who are petty about that; even ULM doesn't care anymore, why should anyone? Tbf a lot of older UL people are beyond obnoxious to LSU and still butthurt about the legislature not allowing them to change their name to UL in the 80s or w/e

Yeah I'd much rather have the biggest win in school history come in week 1 of a pandemic season than have a trophy that hasn't even had time to collect dust yet.

frick Tramel. I'm still mad at that flamethrower about the Hornets, and it's been 15 years.

I love the Cajuns and am proud of them, but the statement doesn't make much sense. There are other teams that are 1-0. How do we know that this is the best win? We would have to rank the teams to determine that...
