Jenson Brooksby has more potential in my opinion.

He is what he is today. Not much room for growth.

Bump
3 years ago Ben Shelton was paying court 6 for Florida. Now this, two grand slam quarters and not done yet possibly . I think James Blake called the rise “meteoric”
But this board knew better and said it wasn’t a big deal what he has done

You should talk about his race more

ESPN was pimping that this was only the second match all time and first quarterfinal ever between African American men.
Pride was not saying that he agreed with it. Just that it would be used when pumping him up. Which is not some sort of hot take. If anything, I’m surprised so many of you don’t agree with it saying race is brought into everything.

The best athletes eventually just rise to the top. It sounds like this kid always had the physical skills and also had the intangible stuff but just didn’t choose his “sport” until after puberty.
Probably what a lot of young athletes should do. I think as a culture when try to specialize young athletes way too early.

Not sure why people in here tried to bury their head and ignore reality

He’s fun to watch. Hope he can hold his own on Friday, but I’m worried Djoker is going to run him off the court.

He is the most physical tennis player I have ever seen. I honestly don’t like watching tennis these days, not enough variety. However, He is fun to watch

He’s about as black as me.
Will only be black when it benefits him.

He has never used the race card and his father hasn’t either. He can’t control really what the media does

No, he doesn’t, I actually do know his dad, really well. And they aren’t the type to ever do what he is inferring

Didn’t say he has. I hope I’m wrong. The media has their claws in him now.

Shelton has been great. The whole open has been filled with great matches and stories.
