I’m pretty sure she coached either summer league or g league when she was with the spurs

I see that the majority is not in favor of Hammon getting an NBA job. Maybe deserves is the wrong word, but I was just wondering what the MSB thought. Again, I'm not in favor, nor am I opposed to her getting an NBA HC job.

Kudos to her for winning a WNBA championship.

She's well respected around the league from what I've heard. She

may get a shot at some point. However the NBA will be a lot more stressful. Not to mention the average life of a coaching stay is probably 3 years. Does she want to deal with that added pressure, or live the easy life (with a Lot less money) in the WNBA.

Idk about deserves but she can’t be worse than the bottom tier guys out there. And if she is, who cares? The team that hires her will move on.

It’s not insane to think a woman can coach a basketball team. Especially today where guys get up for the sjw causes.

Why couldn’t a woman coach basketball in 2022? They certainly play hard for her and if she’s simply a good coach why can’t it work?

If anybody deserves an NBA coaching job it is Dawn Staley. The NBA and Staley absolutely deserve each other. In fact, they should go international and start a team in Peking. She and Lebron would love the inclusiveness that the Chinese show people of non Han decent.

what she played, is nothing like what the NBA is. It's nothing like what college basketball is.
She played at the level of a bunch of unathletic white guys in high school who were somewhat good.

that being said, she's had plenty of experience on the sidelines now on an actual NBA team, and now got some experience leading a team as the head coach, so i honestly wouldn't care if she got a head coaching job. Spoelstra didn't play basketball, yet he's a great coach, and it took him some time to gain the respect of his players. Becky would be the same way and having Pop would help with that, just like Spo having Riley helped him.
I think she'd have to impress the guys early on and gain their respect quickly, b/c the second she loses it from them, she'll never gain it back.

I kinda want to see it happen not from a muh woke equality standpoint or an “i like to watch it all burn” pov. I’m just genuinely intrigued to see how she’d do. She’s highly thought of in SA and she was a finalist for the Pacers job before they hired Carlisle.

I'm no SJW, nor do I think she deserves it, but I think she could coach an NBA team and probably will in the future.

About sums up all this SJW bs

Yep. She might be successful, but she deserves it about as much as Coach O deserved an NFL head coaching job after winning a national championship.

Deserve is a powerful word. If she was to be hired as an NBA head coach, I don’t know how many credible people could object. I mean, she has more credentials than Deion Sanders when he first became a head coach and his name gets throw around on this board all the time.

It would be heckin cool to be a supporter of the team who ultimately gives her an NBA HC job because you could be the only fans in history who have masturbated to your team's HC.

One of Dan Patrick's crew was at one of her games and said she was dropping F-bombs all over the place.
