Don’t follow much NBA do you? The commish admitted last year that they’re intentionally pumping stats because that’s the only way to keep fans interested in the game in his opinion. He’s an idiot and NBA front offices are circus ringmasters at best. All 3 major U.S. sports commissioners are fricktards but Nosferatu is the worse of em all.
I'd argue that Manfred is significantly worse than the alien.

I probably wouldn’t argue with you on that. He’s awful as well

Kobe was still shooting with 40 seconds left in the game up by 20. Everyone was trying to get him the ball so he could get as many points as possible. It wasn't organic.

Noone is scoring 80+ without shenanigans and the other team being awful at defense AND refusing to double team them for long stretches

Kobe shot the ball twice in the last 2 minutes of that game, both of which he was fouled on. And both of which were good shots. He was not just jacking shite up like last night. Hell, he had the ball on the last possession and everyone wanted him to score again but he passed to someone else to take the shot. If the Lakers used the same tactic as last night where they were just fouling the Raptors to get more possessions for Kobe, he would have easily had 90.
The Lakers were down by 18 points in the 3rd quarter and only won because of Kobe performance in that game, especially the 2nd half.
Kobe shot 61% from the field in that game…the rest of Lakers shot 33%. Kobe had to shoot if the Lakers had any chance of coming back to win that game. His barrage was needed to win.
Now contrast that with last night’s joke where Bam shot 46% while the rest of the Heat shot 53%. It’s laughable watching the highlights of that performance.

When does an NBA team do what Grinnell did to get their guy like 137 points?

I mean that does describe the 06 Raptors and the 26 Wizards…

Which makes their decision not to double team him the entire game even more of a joke.

Ok. Doesn't explain why he was still in the game when they were up 20. Everyone was trying to get him as many points as possible, it's ok to admit that. It's not that serious.

What an anticlimactic moment. I can’t take it seriously when he has 36 points from FT. One thing to be in the zone like Kobe was.

Bam scores 83 and his team is winning by 15+ the entire game. Took 6 FT's in the last 2 minutes up by 26
Kobe scores 81 and was down 18 in the 3rd quarter, won by 18. Took 5 FT's in the last 2 minutes, from a 3 and a jumper.
Luka scores 73 in a 5 point victory. Took 2 FT's in the last 5 minutes, both were and 1's.
Lillard scores 71 and was up by 5 mid way through the 4th, won by 17. 2 FT attempts in the last 5 minutes of the game.
Mitchell scores 71 in an OT game. scored 13 of his teams 15 in OT, didn't miss a shot, made 2 FT's.
Booker scores 70 while his team was losing by 10 the whole game. Took 7 FT's in the last minute.
Bam 36-43 FTs
Kobe 18-20 FT's
Luka 15-16 FT's
Lillard 14-14 FT's
Mitchell 20-25 FT's
Bam 67% TS 55% eFG
Kobe 74% TS 69% eFG
Luka 91% TS 88% eFG
Lillard 80% TS 75% eFG
Mitchell 79% TS 75% eFG
Booker 68% TS 58% eFG
What Bam did wasn't nearly as impressive as what the other guys i just listed did. It was laughable. the highlights are a joke. He's literally just running into people and throwing the ball up in the air and the refs are giving him the foul. He took more FT's in the 4th quarter of a blowout game than Lillard and Luka did the entire game.
No one from the Lakers, Mavs, Blazers, Cavs or Suns were intentionally fouling the other team in a massive blowout just so they could get their guy more opportunities to score. Bush league shite. intentionally missing free throws and trying to get the rebound to get it back to Bam. This wasn't an nba basketball game.
The Wizards played 2 guys who were over 6'9 180lbs. Sarr, who played 20 minutes and is 50lbs lighter than Bam, and some no name 7 footer who played 6 minutes. There are high schools who can field a better defense than the Wizards put out there for the majority of this game.
Everyone that was part of that game, from the Heat, Wizards and the refs should be embarrassed about what happen last night.

I doubt it. The Wizards are terrible though, 2nd worst defense in the NBA this year. The Raptors were the 2nd worst defense in the NBA when Kobe dropped 81.
