Disappointing end to a very up and down season. Walt did a great job IMO. Regardless of how much baseball we play next year, AA has work to do.

Also, Profar has 1 more year on his deal, will be interesting to see what they do with him for 1 year.

I'm a passive Braves fan. Really only pay attention in the playoffs, because it's so hard to follow their regular season games on TV anymore.

But that's the worst post-season Braves team I've ever seen. They were atrocious at the plate. Just big moment after bigger moment missed, completely.

Acuna and Ozzie club options are no-brainers at this point.

Bring back Dubon, Mahle, and Suter.

TYFYS Iggy, Kim, Joe, Lane, Perez, Dom

Move Strider to the bullpen

Trade AJSS, Murphy, Lopez, Profar (if possible)

None of this matters until they figure out the CBA.

Pick up Acuna and Albies's options.

Make resigning Mahle the top priority.

If you can get Dubon and Suter back at reasonable prices, do it.

Love Iggy, but we need to stop spending so much on the bullpen. I know the team wants Fuentes to start, but he is an incredible high leverage reliever, and I think I would keep him there to have an elite guy in this role at a very cheap price.

Bring Jimenez back on a minor league deal to see if he has anything left. If he does, that's another cheap bullpen arm.

Hope that the new CBA will allow us to dump Profar and not have to eat his money. Target Arozarena to fill this role.

Maybe give Texas a call and see if they're interested in a bad contract swap around Riley and Corey Seager? See if deGrom will reconsider waiving his NTC now that it's the offseason.

It is going to take some creativity to make improvements to the position player part of the roster given how many of the core pieces are signed to long term deals.

Going to save a lot of time here and tell you three things that won't happen this offseason:

- The team won't trade Acuna
- The team won't move on from Riley
- AA won't change from his usual quiet offseason ways.

We will be a competitive team next year as long as Sale is healthy, but we are trending downward. Schwelly is a huge fricking question mark and he is the only guy on the roster right now that can greatly change how we look at things next year, but nerve damage in your elbow is no bueno.

We have to go into next season assuming we get nothing from Schwellenbach, Strider, Waldrep, and Lopez. Pretend like they don't exist and anything we get from any of them is a bonus, which really hurts me to say about Schwellenbach.

I agree with this. This core has gone stale and needs a major shakeup.

The lineup certainly needs a dramatic shake up, but will be hard to do with some of the contracts on the books. I would love to finally get a SS via trade, and resign Dubon to be that utility guy he was planned to be. Try to move Murphy and sign a legit OF bat.

And shouldn’t. Outside of a postseason where nearly the entire lineup stopped producing, the difference this season with him in lineup versus not was pretty stark.

We have to move on from Tim Hyers, do what we can to hold onto the pitching coaches, and move heaven and earth to bring Ron Washington back in some capacity.

We should've done that this season... but didn't and it burned us.

Don't expect that mindset to change though.

It's time for Chip to finally be full time.

Agreed.

He's still a plus player on a friendly contract.

On top of that, AA's track record of replacing outgoing major talent is not good.

I highly doubt he becomes available, but if he does, I would give Cincinnati just about anything they asked for to get Elly. That's the kind of shakeup this team needs, IMO.

He's said multiple times he doesn't want to make that commitment. He wants to be able to hunt, fish, spend time with his family and not be tied down for 9 months out of the year.

I just don't see that changing either. He doesn't need the $$$ and he likes his life as is.
