Kevin Dyson, and to a lesser extent Frank Wycheck for the Music City Miracle.
Not sure how legendary Kermit Washington or Rudy Tomjanovich were statistically, but I know what I remember them for.

Can Buster Douglas be considered for this?

Freddie Mitchell.
Lots of candidates from NCAAB. Kris Jenkins, R.J. Hunter, Ali Farokhmanesh, Kenton Paulino--basically anyone that's ever hit a buzzer beater.

One I think of is Mark Sanchez. When I hear his name I instantly think butt fumble. I think no matter what he does it's etched in my brain

Fred Merkle, the deadball era player forever known for his late season gaffe dubbed "Merkle's boner":

Me too. I'll add Lorenzo Charles to the list. I used to love college basketball.

Mark Duper was way better than Dwight Clark.

Well the stats for whatever they're worth say you're wrong
They say that on basically the same number of catches, Duper had 2,000 more yards and more TDs.

TD difference is close and yards can be chalked up to the differences in the offenses they played in and relative skill set. But they are unquestionably in the same class of receiver historically.

Sean Elliott:
Other than Avery Johnson's game winner in the Finals to seal the first ever title for SA that year, Elliott's shot was the biggest in franchise history at that time.
The man's heels were out of bounds but never touched the ground. To this day it blows my mind he even got the shot off with Rasheed Wallace closing on him:

First that came to my mind was Aaron Boone. David tyree, Gleason, and Warren Morris are much better answers
