It looked like he was aiming for the batters hand that he was holding out. Good for him.

Thats why they were so bad for so long. 18 of the first 20 made it to the bigs.

Weird play.

Didn't seem like the timeout should have been granted as he clearly called for it after the pitcher started his windup.

But the weird part was the umps nonchalant call where he waited and just kinda slowly put his hand up for the timeout.

He had barely started his windup. If you can hurt yourself stopping that early in your windup then you have no business being called an athlete.

Then the lady to the left above them just clapping with no real reason whatsoever and completely misses the pitch.

The pitcher had barely taken a step back when the runner called timeout. Hardly in his windup.

Is the point of official timeout when the ump calls it or when the batter calls it? Because you would be correct if the pitcher was expected to stop by the time the ump had raised his hands.

It's when the ump calls timeout.

Umpire didn't grant time until he was about to begin his stride, along with the Umpire remaining behind the catcher, when he should be running out if time is granted, which it shouldn't have been

then I completely agree that he had to finish the pitch...still no way he should have hit the guy.
