then I completely agree that he had to finish the pitch...still no way he should have hit the guy.

Actually when hitters try to pull that shite you hit them on purpose and for free. It's a matter of principle.

I have played alot of baseball and I know throwing at a hitter is part of the game in certain situations. But the hitter was completly open turned towards the pitcher. If the pitcher would've hit him, it would've made contact with his face, stomach, or ribs. That would have caused serious damage

That's the dumbass hitter's fault for opening himself up like that.

Pitcher started his windup first. My coaches always used to tell me to finish the pitch if someone does that. Trying to stop the motion could cause injury.

taking a half step back to begin winding up =/= winded up for a pitch

Well yeh the hitter was an idiot, but the pitcher still should not throw at someone who is facing him directly.

The batter did not step outside of the batter's box. Technically, the batter should not have been granted time.

I don't think it touches anyone.

And the pitcher didnt "just start his windup" when time was called. His front knee was lifted all the way up. Pitcher did exactly what he should have done. You don't want to hit the batter. He can ask for time any time he wants. The ump doesn't have to grant it. Whiz it right between them. Perfect placement.
