If so, why do you think you deserve a home game as a condition to play LSU? La Tech, ULM, ULL, and all the rest of the in state schools all want to play LSU too and none of them have a problem coming to Baton Rouge to do it.

I'm not a fan of Tulane, but like many who went to LSU or lived in LA you happen to know some folks with connections to Tulane. I tend to see how they do on Saturdays and if they are on tv and no other game I want to watch is on, I will watch them.

I remember when Tulane was our rival and we played every year in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. It just started to not make financial sense to play in New Orleans. If Tulane could at least get 50,000 in the Dome for the game we would have continued to play them in the Dome I believe.

We did play them every other year in Baton Rouge in the mid to late 90s before we cut them out completely and we did renew the series for a little bit not too long ago. I do believe Tulane would be better off playing us more often in Baton Rouge since we can offer a pay day to get beat as good as Alabama or some other school SEC or Big Ten. Tulane has foolish pride. We play them in other sports like baseball and soccer, but they have foolish pride.

I'm a fan of all Louisiana teams and think they should work together to keep as much money in the state as they can.

????

putting 50k in the Dome for a Tulane-LSU game was never in question, the question was how many are LSU fans and how many are Tulane fans? Lots of grandpas in New Orleans who supported Tulane had sons who moved to Metairie and grandsons who moved to Mandeville and rooted for the Tigers

The Wave except for one fluke year lost too many games for too long

tulane hasn't sold its ticket allotment to games in Tiger Stadium in decades. Its fans don't care, so why should LSU?

I feel like Tulane should pledge to have solid painted endzones for the LSU game when they make their next proposal.

Field design is bigger with high school recruits than anyone realizes.

LSU grad/fan and grew up tulane fan. I personally would like to see LSU/Tulane play every year and since LSU brings the most fans, let them decide where to play it. Like maybe 1 game every 3 years at the superdome so NOLA LSU fans can watch them in their own backyard with like a 70/30 split in favor of LSU. Both schools would do well with this type of money split. The reason I say this is because let's be real, tulane and lsu are in different stratospheres when comparing programs. It's just the way it is nowadays. LSU is a top program while Tulane is in that next tier of P6 conference teams. This is the main reason why I see a lot more lsu fans pulling for the wave these days. If you still think tulane/lsu are a rivalry, you are delusional. Anyways, here's to a great football season for both programs! I'm excited for both.

New Orleans is not Monroe or Ruston. And where is LSU playing its season opener in 2022?

Anyone else remember the friendly wagers fans made where the losers pushed the winners around the French Quarter in wheelbarrows? I was young and remember something like this on the news maybe?

Back in the 70's, you could get 2 free tix to any game, if you bought (2) 6 packs of cokes from Winn Dixie. Except for the LSU game, they forced you to buy their season tix. A lot of Tiger fans said, frick em

LSU should be playing only Louisiana G5 opponents.

New Mexico and UAB should be replaced with Tulane and either ULL/ULM/Tech.
Every season.

Hell every once in a while we should play Tech in Shreveport (grows our North LA recruiting) to open the season or Tulane in New Orleans to open. Every other year. If we do that we can try to instead schedule P5 OOC as a home and home instead of neutral. Would also be better to start against Tech/Tulane then play the P5 after we get a game under our belts.
