Was hoping for a no-way…something…I waited too late, too much restraint.

Not 70, but still > NFL record. Never seen it this windy on that field.

I watched the wind turn a deep fly to left center into a shallow blooper hit just inside the foul line at a minor league game in Midland last season.

Left fielder was completely lost chasing that ball in the wind. Most fly balls during that 2 inning windstorm had similar results.

An unexpected cross wind can majorly screw up a perfectly balanced multi million dollar formula 1 car.

A good friend of mine makes over $200,000.00 a year playing disc golf. The top few make a million plus just on their top sponsor.

Try fielding a high punt on a windy night and get back with me.

Sounds like a lot of excuses when he just probably doesn’t have the leg for a 55er

52 in comp in 8th grade, 58 in comp freshman, 61 in comp sophomore…we’re about to find out at his junior comps.

Generally good out to the low 60’s in mild conditions.

Here’s the 61 to win the national invitational last year this time. That’s the pro scout, pro coach, and owner of the ranking service standing behind him. Games are pressure, so is this.

I see this kind of stuff with kickers all the time and it's absolutely meaningless. That's placing the ball at exactly the angle you want, taking all the time you want, no defenders, no variables with the snap and hold. There's a reason teams aren't lining up for FGs every time they have a 4th down on the opponents side of the 50 yd line. Because it's not as easy when you throw in all the variables in an actual game.

It's basically a kickoff with less run up.

Rankings aren’t solely based on the competitions, but the finals of those camps are as much pressure as you can generate in high school. That camp had two days of charting…6 kicks into the wind from 48yds, 6 kicks with the wind from 56 each day. How you stack up that matters, then showing moxie in comps can help for sure.

The only pad that sucks is the knee pads…and the defense has zero to do with how you kick. The snap and hold are tough, but it becomes less of a variable the older you get, like the field. Play on some goat ranches in high school, in the SEC they’ll be much better.

How reproducible your kicking motion is under stress and distance and a not meaningless.

Let’s be fair, most teams don’t have the dudes who are going to these camps…
