Italy and Netherlands didn't qualify either, right?

This will be a weird world cup.

Neither did Chile.

Four countries that are pretty consistently in the top 30 in the world and two that are powerhouses - it's no wonder that there is no true Group of Death this time around.

ETA: I will watch just to see Mexico get the dog shite stomped out of them.

Yeah that actually seems like the toughest group. Sweden aren't a bad team, and South Korea isn't either. We might see some interesting teams in the knockouts.

Still have several favorite countries in the tournament. Germany, Sweden, S. Korea...and anyone Mexico plays if they happen to make it out.

Is Germany good again? They've been fun to watch.

I probably won't watch group play or whatever it's called. But once the field starts getting whittled down I'll definitely watch.

These kick off times are going to take me back to when I was a homeschooled kid in 2010 watching every game. First World Cup where I am a working adult.

yes

i enjoy World Events, especially the Winter Olympics. Sure, i could do without the figure skating and the silly shite, but bobsled, luge, skull, speed skating, skiing, etc events are kick arse.

And i love me some snow!

I’ll watch like one half, pretend to enjoy it and feel more cultured. Then I’ll check it off my list and watch pretty much anything else on tv. A week later I’ll be pissed about all of the World Cup clutter on ESPN’s website.

I will watch what I can that's not on in the middle of the night. But there's no hype this time around.

Even after losing to Belgium, the rest of the tournament was damn exciting...one forward not named Wondo and we're playing in the quarters against Argentina with serious momentum. No telling where we went from there

Not to mention the 2nd leg of the Toronto vs. Columbus match was spectacular and played in front of a sold out crowd, not to mention the added drama of it probably being the Crew's last match before moving to Austin.
