Anyone following the chess drama?

Magnus withdrew from a tournament for the first time ever. Rumor is he caught one of the opponents cheating. The cheating is supposedly a leak from Magnus’ inner circle on his preparation.

How does one cheat in chess, read your opponent’s mind?

Hans had some great points about this in today's post match interview. Go watch it on YT. Makes magnus look terrible. You can't just insuate someone is cheating without some sort of proof/evidence

Hans has been caught cheating multiple times in the past
He gave inconsistent and erroneous answers in his post game analysis yesterday and even blundered a full piece when the analysis engine was turned off
Magnus has never accused anyone of cheating before
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, I’m gonna call it a duck. Hans cheated, likely by subterfuge and studying magus’ leaked prep.

Magnus and Hikaru are the two biggest online presences. The mob has been assembled.
They better be right. If not, this is a travesty.

It's an interesting case, because Hans' analysis, as you stated, simply did not pass muster. Especially the next day when he apparently didn't understand his game with Firouzja.
Don't forget, he said he had looked at this line twenty moves deep before the game...even though Magnus played a novelty on move 4, one which he had never personally played in his registered chess history.
Stockfish analysis shows that Magnus made 4 inaccuracies and 3 mistakes. That is why it's such an interesting predicament. Magnus did himself no favors in that game, and there is nothing inherent to suggest computer aid was used in any way.
I'm just going to eat the popcorn and see how it plays out.

Judging by the measures put in place afterwards, I believe the thought was he had some type of device that was allowing someone else to relay the computers best move back to him. I know he has been in trouble in the past with cheating but that was during online games where it would be exponentially easier to cheat.
Personally, I think it’s a bit shitty to makes this claim without any type of proof. Had Magnus said he heard something fishy like buzzing or a radio transmission then I would be inclined to believe him. The reality is Magnus played a shitty opening and got a bad position and couldn’t dig his way out of it. I didn’t see any moves Hans made that made me think he had assistance. Now I’m a nobody, and arguing with Magnus about the game of chess is absurd, but I think this is more sour grapes than anything.

Sounds like what the computer tells me on my 1st 15 moves

That’s the biggest give away. He beat Magnus with black, then looked terrible the next day.

Magnus also had chess.com perma ban Hans. Hans was invited to play in the chess.com upcoming tournament and now has been perma banned and uninvited from the tournament.
