How can you not get excited about the thought of Johnny Manziel throwing TD passes in Globe Life Park under a Bob Stoops offense and then falling short in the semifinals of the playoffs?
It's going to be glorious

I hope a league like this works out for the hundreds of really solid football players out there. The guys in the AAF are like in the 95th percentile of football players in the country and have no job through it. Whereas theyd be making millions if they were a bit better
In most other professions, if you are in the 95th percentile of your peers, you have a job. But its either rags or riches for these guys

If they get high school kids that want to get paid I would say it has a chance.
Beyond that it will struggle.
The NFL is basically a monopoly and you are not taking out an established sports league.

When they were both announced within days/weeks of each other I thought the AAF had their shite together more so than Vince who just came off as trying to ride the wave of the anti kneelers but no real plan. The AAF seemed to have more tangible goals or realistic goals. Now obviously they didn’t remotely have their shite together.
Vince and co. seemed to have learned from past mistakes, they’re biding their time and have some unique ideas that could be cool.,
It’s just going to face the same issues all these start up football leagues have, a talent issue. Bad football is just tough to watch.

Until the XFL proves it has a better quality of play than every other knockoff league, I'm at no as well.
NFL competitiors always fail here, they just don't have very good football.
