This was tweeted out today.
For the life of me I can't fully figure out what the plans are.
I'm pretty sure thats #11 going along the bottom in dirt, #14 hole on the left , and #15 tee in the middle.

Probably going lose a bunch of members if they can’t play all summer.

Making it even better?? That’s my guess

It’s closed in the summer months anyway

Augusta National tends to do this just about every year in their offseason. You'd be shocked at how much of the course they dig up and replace - with no one the wiser come April.

For every member they lose, there are 100 others begging for an invite. That won't be an issue.

I assume Slackster was joking

That’s not how you get invited to join ANGC.

“Sandcapping”
I think that’s what it’s called.
Basically, they smooth out any odd contours that may have developed.
I’ve heard 11 tee is being moved further back.
They have an incredible budget.

The ANWA players play from the members tees at about 6400.

Does anybody know what grass they use for the green most of the year parts compared with fairways grass?
Posted on 6/15/21 at 8:49 pm to real turf fan
Is it Bermuda? But for the Masters it's overseeded rye.
But don't quote me on that.
ETA this is the fairways. Nit sure of the greens

I didn’t realize it was closed in summer, but my post was tongue in cheek regardless. I know no one just up and leaves ANGC.

You know that the grass is still there, outside, even if it's not open, yes?

Endless money
But how? I've heard that their membership fees, while high, are nowhere near the most expensive in the US. Are they making that much off tv?
And if so, they don't seem to even give a shite about it because there were years that they didn't even have commercials and just told the advertisers to stick it.
They also seemingly don't give a shite about price gouging concessions either at the Masters, when they're selling sandwiches for like $2.50.
So where does their real money come from? All private donations?
