Unless he was born with it, no. He's always been a shithead.
Yep. There are clips around of Ryan Clark talking about how he begged the team to not give him a big money contract. He was already problematic and the locker room knew that giving him money would only amplify his antics.
The guy single handedly melted down the Steelers locker room during prime years and cost them wins and potentially Superbowl visits.

CTE and the Burfict hit didn't suddenly turn him from a model citizen into a looney tune.
All of it amplified after the hit. It wasn't the core issue, but sure as hell didn't help.

I agree. After that shot to the head a few years ago he hasn't been the same. He needs help, and the NFL should do what they can to provide that to him.

NIL money will solve this. Will be interesting to see how kids making millions in nil will end up eventually.

Oh wow. Who could have ever foreseen that.

his off-field BS, has ruined any memories of anything good he ever did on the field, so he is only remembered now, as that racist idiot malcontent, who ruined every team he played for
I don't want him in the Hall but his numbers are pretty incredible:
2010s All Decade Team
All Pro 1st team - 4 times
2nd team - 1
Super Bowl with TB
Pro Bowls - 7
Receptions - 928 (21st)
Yards - 12,291 (25th all time)
TDs - 83
In the Hall of Fame Monitor (predictor) he ranks 14th all time, ahead of current HOFers: Warfiield, Isaac Bruce, Maynard, Charley Taylor, Michael Irvin, Andre Johnson, Monk, Berry, Calvin Johnson, Drew Pearson, Andre Reed, Cliff Branch, Bilitnikoff, Swann, Stalworth, Bob Hayes, and a few others.
Unless the voters come up with a good reason, they have no choice but to vote him in, but will likely wait several years like they did with Owens just to humble his dumbass.

Accolades wise he’s definitely a HOFer. But the voters don’t have to give a reason for not wanting him in. It’s not like they’re answering to anyone

True to some extent, nobody officially, but they do have to answer to the public (perhaps) and their credibility. The comp is TOwens, an obvious 1st ballot HOF but a jackass. The voters made him wait three or so years, voted him in, and then the guy doesn't show up. LOL.
I think Brown is a worse case than TO. Brown is an embarrassment to himself and the game. They will absolutely make him wait, but at some point, the numbers don't lie, and they will hold their noses and put him in.
With that said, his self-destruction was so public and brought dishonor on the game. They could hang their hats on that and keep him out a long time, and meanwhile he will embarrass himself and alienate them even further reacting to the delay. I certainly don't see any public outcry now or later on his behalf, so maybe he doesn't.

All NFL players should make a slotted salary. Remove agents from that part of a players money. Bonuses could be paid for certain league rankings individually.

I am actually a lot more surprised when NFL players don’t go broke. It’s the culture.
Same with a lot of retired boxers who earned huge sums of money during their careers. Mike Tyson earned $685 million in his career and filed for bankruptcy in 2003.
Evander Holyfield earned $230 million during his 26 year career and has a net worth of just $1 million now.
The great Joe Louis died owning the Federal Gov. tons of money is back taxes and virtually bankrupt.

When are people going to quit with this fiction? The Burfict hit had absolutely nothing to do with AB being an a-hole. He was an a-hole everywhere he went long before that incident. Money and fame just entitled him to be an even bigger a-hole.

Yeah but broke is relative... Tyson also explained that he was the type of broke where if he saw a car or house he wanted he could still buy it... just couldn't afford to buy a jet or business
