A better way to settle this is looking at the opposite side. If your team wanted to win a superbowl and had to FACE one QB, who would you NOT want to face.
I want the one who has the 25th ranked defense on the other side of the ball

Who would you rather face

Prime Brees with this years Ravens defense

Or

Prime Brady with this years Colts defense

Anyone picking Brady doesn’t know ball

And it’s irrelevant that he and manning played more indoors than Brady.
Nah, it's definitely relevant.

For example, If you just look at Passer Rating, you'd see that Drew Brees has a higher career passer rating than Tom Brady, but...

You can't really use that as a notch for Brees because Brady has a career passer rating better than Brees both indoors and outdoors.

So it's definitely relevant.

Anyone who doesn’t say Brady doesn’t understand football.

Why?

Would you understand football if you chose the QB who has a lower passer rating, his offenses score less postseason points, and his offenses have more postseason turnovers? If you choose that guy, do you understand football?

Just look how each performed without HOF head coaches.
Drew Brees outperformed Brady in the playoffs.

Drew Brees offenses outperformed Brady offenses in the playoffs at his position.

Brady got a ring after Brees’ arm was dead in his new location. Brees was replaced in his previous stop.
Yep, Brady being able to sustain his play longer than Brees is an argument for Brady over Brees. But that's also irrelevant to the discussion of this thread.

relying on counting stats to debate that a 1 time Super Bowl champ gives you a better chance than a 7 time Super Bowl champ is insane.

You’re still counting, you’re just counting the wrong things to evaluate an individual player.

Yea there's a spreadsheet someone shows every so often on TD about this.

This looks like most of the data from it

They played about 10-12 seasons in the league together and Peyton was the best almost every year

No qb has ever won a SB by himself. So it’s about the talent around him. I’ll take Joe Montana.

Any of those top QBs will win you a Superbowl. Plain and simple. When Brees had a defense he won a Superbowl. The first few Superbowls NE won because of the defense. Then Brady grew to be a great QB and lead NE to a couple Superbowl wins. You need a half way competent defense to get a few stops and get the ball back into the Great QBs hands.

2 QBs:

QB1:

50 TDs
8 INTs
8.7% TD%
8.3 YPA
117.2 Rating

All of the above stats led the league

QB2:

18 TDs
12 INTs
4.4% TD%
6.9 YPA
86.5 rating

Which QB would you want on your team to win a Super Bowl?
