Amite kicked out of the playoffs due to fight

LHSAA Executive Director Eddie Bonine confirmed late Tuesday that Amite High School has been removed from the Class 3A football semifinals because of a game-ending fight that took place Friday night.

Didn't something similar happen with Woodlawn and...shite, I can't remember who the other team was. Baseball playoffs in 96.

My last game of high school was ended early by a fight with North Caddo. They proceeded to vandalize our brand new fieldhouse bathrooms and locker room because they are fricking thugs.

Doesn't matter who started it the problem lies with the entire team leaving the bench area to get involved in the fight
Anyone who leave the bench in a fight is automatically suspended for the next game. The entire bench cleared leaving them with 0 eligible players for the next game

I think a good compromise would be to make them forfeit the first regular season game next year. That is their next "regular season game."

I'd be pissed if I was on the other side of the bracket.

St. James isn't your typical 15 seed. They were without Lowell Narcisse all season long. Now he's back and they're cruising. With him they're more like a 2 seed, with Lutcher 1. No offense to Amite, but they weren't going to beat St. James anyway. Just imagine the Dome matchup: Lutcher vs. St. James in a rematch, this time with Narcisse playing. All of St. James Parish will be there. Serious $ to be made. I doubt LHSAA will jeopardize that.

How do figure this? The rules clearly state if you leave the bench area during a fight you are automatically suspended for the next game.
FWIW considering the 2 schools and fan bases color me shocked that this happened.
