I bet it was that thug Harrison that started shite and set it off. I was so glad that's got best and then got beat down. Cocky bastards.

Amity said they will file suit. LHSAA usually doesn't win these. Usually because they are wrong.

Doesn't help Amite in the meantime.

It will. They will seek and probably obtain a temporary restraining order against Lhsaa. That suit has to be already drafted and headed to the 19th as we speak.

The LHSAA tries to punish thug programs and they fight them in court and win. Great message it sends the kids.

You know what's the easiest thing in the world? Not fighting. No sympathy.

Lhsaa has been uneven with punishment in the past. I can't comment on this case because I don't know everything. But in prior playoff bannings they have favored one team over another when both teams engaged in a fight. Lhsaa does it to themselves by favoring teams over the other instead of banning everyone which is the correct thing to do. In this case I'm not sure what punishment they have given the other team.

I think once it gets into a judges hand he is going to err on the side of amite playing.

This, and this alone, is why the LHSAA constantly loses in court. There is absolutely no consistency to their rulings. If they had an actual plan for these types of things and applied that plan every time, they would not lose in court all the time.

Praying if they do put them back in St. James busts there asses so bad they won't know what hit them. I have only been to an Amite game once years ago when a cousin played against them in the playoffs. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me to.

There were many other clearly broken rules that were not enforced in the past couple years and this year. Why change that this time?
And I don't give a rats arse about Amite

The new executive director has been there less than a year. He seems to be enforcing the rules fairly as they are written in the handbook. Can't blame him for things that came before him or how the handbook is written.

From the little I know this new director is way better than the idiot in there before.

So Amite has to forfeit their playoff game but Bogalusa doesn't get any disciplinary action?

That's an understatement.

He's super strict on the rules in place. No one gets a pass. Hopefully, in the next year or so he busts up the good-ole boy Executive Committee that is primarily comprised of principals from North Louisiana.

I have the video. You can count a total of six Amite players that did not cross the numbers and participate in the fight.

They absolutely deserve this punishment.

Bogalusa is getting disciplined, they just don't have a playoff game to play in next week so it is not as big of a deal.

Except he gave Byrd a pass after they appealed and let them back into the playoffs.

Byrd got into a bench clearing brawl with an opponent? I didn't hear about that.

Did both teams clear their benches? If so, there isn't a program in the state that would have stayed on the sideline while 11 guys take on 50+

Standing up for your teammates vs Outright breaking rules. A quick, snap impulse vs months and months of flat out cheating. Byrd's punishment is written into the rule itself. No room for interpretation and definitely no where does it say anything about a bullshite $1000 fine.

Yeah, makes sense...
