I know the league would never do it, but they need to just stop with Thursday night football. It is a dog shite product. Every once in a while, there is a good game but that shouldn't be something to hang your hat on.
I get it, there are contracts and a lot of dollars already in play though.

Coaches and players don’t even really want to play these games.
Athletes are playing too many games and bodies are breaking down earlier as is, those short weeks lead to terrible game plans with missing players on both teams.
College games used to be reserved for Thursday, with one "mid-tier" marquee matchup. It was usually on ESPN. From what I remember, many people watched it.
Friday night games are for high school. Period.
Saturday was reserved for college football only. The only time the NFL played on a Saturday was during their playoffs.
Sunday is strictly NFL.
Monday Night Football is strictly NFL with the "marquee" matchup usually reserved for this. There were no double headers for the most part.
I am not against the "marquee" matchup being on Sunday night, as I believe this makes sense.
These Tuesday and Wednesday night games for colleges blow. Yes, it's football. But it's watered-down football. Sure, it gets these teams "exposure" but no one really gives two shits about them. Their opinions will likely stay the same. It's shite mid-major programs.
NFL should be a Sunday and Monday only.

Thursday Night NFL football sucks!
Injuries,
No time to recover from Sunday,
No time to game plan for the game,
Fans can’t go to the game because they have to work to afford tickets,
Etc.
Etc.
All leads to a bad product.

There shouldn't be NFL football on a Thursday night unless it's Thanksgiving.

I love football. A lot. Even the NFL.
I’m football’d out on Thursday night. I’m in the zone of finishing my work week so I can enjoy football on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
No idea if that’s how others feel, but I assume I’m not alone. Thursday night football will never take off like they want it to.
This. I'm an avid fan, fantasy footballer. I've watched 1 Thursday game. I'm starting Lamar so I'll tune in for a bit.
I used to watch every Thursday night game. Not this season

They've been the worst games of the year. Unreal how bad they are.

You don’t know that before the game starts
a close game doesnt make it a good one.

How?
We could tell weeks beforehand that game was gonna suck

Get back to ESPN Thursday night football having a top SunBelt/MWC/AAC matchup. Those were always good to watch and stadiums were usually packed. The mid-week games they show now usually have empty stadiums.

Great opportunity for the Rock/XFL to create a better brand of football.

NFL Thursday games are trash. It's bad for the players, it's bad for ratings, it's awful for fantasy football. I'd much rather see G5 college games on Thursdays.
But I'm thrilled to see Amazon losing something after the way they bastardized Wheel of Time and Rings of Power.

Need an extra bye week in the schedule, and thursday night games should only be played by teams coming off of a bye week. Sure, you lose THF in weeks 2-5, and 14+; but it gives the players the rest and game planning time they need

They would be good to make do thursday games every 4 years.

Bring back good college football games on Thursday.

It would make some sense if you did it with both teams coming off a bye week.
Then you would have rested players before the game and another couple days to heal after. If they actually wanted to protect their health

And even at it's lowest rating of the year, it was still the highest watched program that night by over a million viewers.
7.8m TNF
6.7m Young Sheldon
6.0 Ghosts
5.8 Yankees/Astros Game 2

Thursday Night Football has a stigma attached to it now.
It may never recover after Broncos-Colts.
