AU fans been trying to tell yall since 2004.
Posted on 12/8/17 at 11:26 am to LintLicker
Why would you think that ? Why even surmise it? They pretty much admit to it.

Of course ESPN controls college football. They have a vested stake in ACC and SEC. Why do you think those two conferences are shoved down our throats every week?

Yet if ESPN was pumping LSU you would not say a word.......

Yeah, they sat down and said we’re going to make Clemson a Top 2 team from now on because there are so many advantages to this. We will control all of college football with this move!!!!

You mean they literally own College Football and by that own a large number of Universities in the this countries.

If it was up to ESPN, every conference title game would be:
PAC-12: USC vs. Oregon
SEC: Alabama vs. Florida
BIG 10: Nebraska vs. Michigan/tOSU winner
BIG 12: Texas vs. Oklahoma
ACC: Miami vs. Florida State
And Notre Dame would be in the mix every season as well. ESPN would gladly tank their ratings if it meant the blue bloods were always on top, as seen in 2011.

To be clear.
Disney owns ABC, ESPN Networks, SEC Network, Longhorn Network, and the aforementioned bowls in an earlier post.
Contract rights to: the College Football Playoff, Other Bowls (too many to name), SEC games not reserved by CBS, Tier 2 half of the B1G, Tier 1 half of the Big XII and Pac-12, all of ACC and AAC games, and every odd year Pac-12 Championship
Fox owns Fox, FS1 and 2, and Big Ten Network
Contract rights: Tier 1 half of B1G, Tier 2 half of Big XII and Pac-12 games, every even year Pac-12 Championship Game, Foster Farms Bowl, and Holiday Bowl
CBS owns CBS and CBSSN
Contract Rights: SEC #1 pick weekly with 2 doubleheader windows plus SECCG, Armed Services games, C-USA, Mountain West, Cure Bowl, and Sun Bowl.
NBC only contracted to Notre Dame home games
Pac-12 network is owned by the Pac-12 conference itself, not any network.
With the supposed monopoly on bowls for ESPN, I'm sure most bowls like Music City, Citrus, and Gator give ESPN right of first refusal on carrying those bowls when their contracts expire. The only thing that sucks is the CFP and NY6 games are not on network TV for those cord cutters and poor people in Alabama who can't afford cable but cable is king now.

I wish NYD was more stacked up. The old days with a bunch of early games and Sugar/Orange against each other were awesome. ESPN staggering the games is terrible. OSU/USC is an awesome game, but just doesn't hold sizzle on Dec. 29. The one thing you have to say is ESPN made the investment in college sports that no one else would, so to the victors go the spoils.

You SEC boys are slow. The BIG and PAC have been fighting ESPN for years. The BIG would not give into them and went with FOX and only gives ESPN part of our package. The PAC owns their own network.
Why you think ESPN has been so anti BIG for years? Sure, they'll pump OSU and Michigan but they bag on everybody else in this conference.
Time for the SEC to join us in taking CFB back from ESPN.

They also have the Pac 12 Net.
No they don't.
"the first (conference network) to be owned by a conference outright without support from outside companies (Fox Entertainment Group owns 49% of Big Ten Network, while MountainWest Sports Network had CBS and Comcast as partners, and SEC Network is wholly owned by ESPN)"
I posted this pic earlier...
Here's one of EPSN/ACC
Now someone else, anyone else, post one replacing SEC and ACC with another conference. I'll wait...

You don’t think ESPN is in the tank for Bama?
Of course. You didn't say it in your OP but it was the reason behind your post. God damn LSU fans. Why do yall do this to yourselves?
