The Birmingham one is awful

Why do the startup leagues always make themselves look like jabronies by having jabroni uniforms?
Posted on 12/6/18 at 11:13 pm to LSUMJ
They all either look like bad 1990s American expansion cfl teams or whatever the hell they wore in Any Given Sunday.

Agreed. Iron didn’t even put in any effort in theirs. It looks so lazy. I wish Legends would of went with purple and white over purple and gold. I’m also not liking the feathers pattern on the Salt Lake City helmet. Express is easily my favorite. I love the red and blue color scheme. And the helmet logo on both sides connected looks fantastic. I also applaud the league’s marketing department coming up with creative team names that no one else has. I love it. I hope this league does well.

Those are pretty decent but why do the Stallions' helmet looks like feathers on it?
My guess it’s supposed to be a horses mane?

I think you’re right. But it doesn’t really look that good.

Salt lake and Arizona are the best

Not bad.
A better simplistic approach for the Iron would have been to put a metal-looking pattern on the helmet. Doesn’t HAVE to have a logo, but just a stripe is lame.
Not a fan of SA’s color scheme, but I dig the logo.
San Diego is the best.

The jersey number on one side of the helmet is so lame to me. I wish that trend would die.

Apollos looks like they have 2 different helmets. The image of the player looks to be wearing a blue helmet. While the other pictures of the helmets solo look black.

I never liked the numbers on the helmet either. Just put the logo on both sides, and be done with it.

Old High school teammate of mine is playing for the express.
These uniforms overall look good but the Birmingham one looks lazy.

The NFL can barely find 32 starter worthy QB's walking this earth. My hopes aren't too high for the AAF and XFL to have competent QB play.

Adam Thielan should sue for them using his likeness in the SA image

The Stallions helmet is the mane of the horse flowing

I'm not expecting any amazing, but this is the only new league saying they want to be a foundation for NFL development. if they hold it together and become a D-League it could be profitable for both. The XFL and that other league startup will fail quickly. I have some hope for this one lasting a few years.

Who is bank rolling this thing? I don’t see how it’s attractive enough to get good players to pass on college.

It's not intended to get players to skip college. It's intended for guys post college who aren't quite good enough for the NFL.
Zach Mettenberger is playing for Memphis for instance
