Remains to be seen if that skill set is still in his body at this age. Maybe it is, though. I hope it is because I want him to be able to shove it in the doubters' faces, but the list of skill (non-QB/K/P) athletes who were able to make real differences at 32 years of age and older is short.

Most backups are not worth media headaches, which is part of why Kaep doesn’t have a job along with intentionally sabotaging his own career in order to claim he was blackballed.
That definitely came back to bite Tebow in the arse. Dude was good enough to make NFL rosters as a low 2nd string to 3rd string QB, but owners and head coaches didn't want to deal with the circus following. And said circus wasn't anything of his own intentional doing, just is what it is.
Contrast that to Kapernick and Michael Sam who intentionally brought in the circus to them and their teams. If you're going to do what they did, you better be a Top 10 at your position in the league, and neither was close. No one was going to keep them as a backup.

I'm still not getting why the big scream over this. If Tebow isn't good enough he will probably get cut. At least I would think so, it's hard to imagine a professional team would purposely give a player a roster spot if there was someone better available. It's not like college where they have 90 players or more, the spots are limited and each one is valuable.
