it really laughable? Did you actually laugh at loud at the notion Arenado would win?

Yes lol. he has no shot. You said he would probably win it. So that's funny

That's a bit of a stretch. Tom Verducci, who I think has a vote, wrote an article a few days ago touting Arenado as the NL MVP in a close and deep race.

He may not win, but I don't think suggesting he will is really laugh out loud funny.

Eta: he might lose enough votes to Blackmon to make it hard on him though.

Arenado has no shot because he plays in Colorado. Stanton has no shot because he didn't play for a contender. It will be the best player from one of the playoff teams, which is Goldschmidt.

Mike Trout's team won 74 games last year, Harper's team won 83 games in 2015

2003-ARod(71 wins)
1991-Ripken(67 wins)

Like you said, it's not without precedence.

If Judge wins over Altuve, I'll never pay attention to this award again.

Coors field or media ignores the Rockies? I thought his road power numbers were similar to his home numbers.

Like it or not the MVP is a sabermetrics award at this point. I hate that a guy that strikes out every 2.5 ABs is going to win the MVP....it stinks. However, I think Judge will win it with the high sabermetric scores and the fact that he plays for the Yankees.

Home splits are MVP worthy.Think Mike Trout.

Road splits are just very good. Think Justin Smoak or Gary Sanchez

How would that compare to Stanton's or Goldschmidt's home and road splits?

Goldschimit is smilar to arenado.

Stanton has MVP caliber splits in both. Lower on the road but still slugged .600

The fact that Stanton plays in a very deep ballpark is pretty incredible too. Doesn't matter if it's home or road, dude mashes the ball.

Don't care. Dude broke the record for RBI's from the leadoff spot. Incredible.
