On the AL side, the 3 main Contenders are Aaron Judge, Jose Ramirez, and Jose Altuve.

On the NL Side, Giancarlo Stanton, Paul Goldschmidt, and Nolan Arenado.

Stats of Note

OPS: 1.049
WAR: 8.0

Altuve(9)
Avg: 347
SB: 32
OPS: 961
WAR: 8.4

Ramirez(1)

NL

Stanton(10)

WAR: 7.6

Goldschmidt(0)

WAR: 5.9

Arenado(3)

Votto (2)

My Picks are Judge and Stanton. Judge is a 5 tool guy and Stanton obviously just hit the hell out of the ball.

The question is who do you think is deserving.

Ill update OP with votes.

I'd vote Altuve, but Judge will probably win. Both had awesome years.

In the NL, Stanton is winning. Idk who i'd vote for.

I voted Arenado because he was fantastic all year and especially good down the stretch. They don't sniff the wild card without him.

My vote: Altuve Arenado

Who will win?
Judge Stanton.

Judge had like 55 game stretch batting under 200. Thats 1/3 of the season. that should lose him the MVP IMO. Im not even a Judge hater, in fact I think hes great for the league.

Arenado over stanton because I think that piling up the stats with pressure>>>>than without the pressure

And he also had one of the best first halves in the history of baseball. And he was fantastic in September.

It's baseball. It's a long season, and your numbers at the end of the year are your numbers.

Judge, without that absolute shite second third, probably hits close to 70.

Why he was an All Star.

I mean the team would have likely been better off with him injured. In fact they might be AL East champions if they put a replacement player there for 55 games.

Once again it is my opinion that a stretch like that should eliminate him. You can choose to disregard it.

My vote, Votto & Trout. Who will win? Stanton & Judge.

Also, I wouldn't be opposed to JD Martinez being in the NL MVP race.
