but Leach was out of line with the way he handled it
how do you know this, or how do you even come to this conclusion at this point??

ESPN showed a video that was taken by Adam James' cell phone. it was deceiving as shite, giving the appearance of a little closet.

Did it look like the place you would send one of your players to for treatment?

I'm not saying the guy isn't a total dip shite, but Leach was out of line with the way he handled it. Schools spend millions building facilities to treat players when they are injured. Yet, this dumbass puts a kid in a equipment shed and an electrical closet?
This is one of those cases where Leach was pissed because the guy would not return to practice as fast as he thought he should. He took it out on the kid by placing him in those types of areas.
This
The unconditional love for Leach on this board is the damnest thing Ive ever seen. He's a fricking prick and has been for years.

We werent talking about that. I was responding to your statement that the video was decieving and made it look like a small electrical closet.

I would love to see a spoof of "I'm on a boat" called "I'm in a shed, BITCH"

I agree that no one knows the whole story yet. Its no doubt that TT wanted him gone even before this incident. Leach has always been an arrogant prick though. I dont understand blaming this on anyone but Leach. TT didnt want him so they fired his arse.

Noone knows the whole story. But we know enough. Leach handled it improperly. There were problems between him and Tech before this happened behind the scenes. A move like this is not made against the most successful coach a team has had unless there is something underlying.
The James kid may be a douche and a turd or whatever. SO WHAT!!!! You CANNOT put him in a closet!!! Leach should have known that. If he is a turd then you cut him or pull his scholarship. Bench him. As a coach you have so many other things you can do. shite you could probably get a doctor to say sit him for a year. This could be argued as treatment and "in his best interest." Not locking him in a closet. He let his anger get the better of him and did this to the wrong kid and the wrong guys kid AND in the wrong decade.

I guess you guys don't see the use of the shed and electrical closet as a disciplinary action, to pressure the guy to return to practice
I keep reading this from the Leach bashers and I don't get it at all. From all accounts, this kid was not really contibuting to the program at all. IMO Leach was not tring to pressure him to practice/play. He was making it hard on him so that he would either:
A See that his effort was not sufficient and therefore have a change of heart and become a harder working athelte.
or
B Leave the team and transfer to another school.
This happens all of the time in college football. Discipline a player into making a choice.
Now what happened here may/may not have been excessive considering the injury (whether is was real or not).
IMO, the only factors that are relevant is whether or not Adam James was ever put into a situation where there was potential for his injury to be made worse and if he was indeed "locked" into these areas. So far, what I have seen and read tells me that the answer is no to both.

Ultimately Adam James was told to go stand in a room. Adam James chose to go stand in that room. He made his decision. And now he is crying about it.

And for all of this Leach would be WRONG. And should lose his job. You discipline a kid with playing time only. You take it away and if he is worth a damn as a player and competitor he will improve. But doing this just makes you look like the idiot and James as the victim. IF you are smart enough or level headed enough to know this you should not be a head coach of a D-1 school. That is the kind of shite a special teams coach would try and a head coach would put a stop to.

Your Head Coach tells you to do something. What was James going to tell him? frick off? I quit? Nope. He is apparently too savvy of a kid to do that. And Leach was too stupid to realize how a move like this could cost him everything.

Sorry, if my head coach tells me to do something that I think is either threatening or can injure me then I am saying no to him.
James could have walked out of that room at any time. And now he is crying about it. He chose to stay in there.
Oh, and James doctor said doing so was good for him.
