a diagnosed concussion. I would call that common fricking sense. He can't practice. Leave him in the training room. Why drag him out to a mechanical shed or electrical closet? What is the point in it. Hell, they could have saved money and just built a pole barn.

the kid was milking it for everything he could, then lets his dad fights his battles for him. He is a D-1 football player if he really had a problem with it, he has no problems being able to stand up for himself. If was that physically and athletically gifted id be busting my arse 24/7

you act like it was across campus. it was next to the practice field.

i just don't understand yall. he was sensitive to light. so you put him in the training room where other people will be?

i think people keep thinking he was forced to stay in some room. and that is where the shock is coming from.

I'm not saying the guy isn't a total dip shite, but Leach was out of line with the way he handled it. Schools spend millions building facilities to treat players when they are injured. Yet, this dumbass puts a kid in a equipment shed and an electrical closet?

This is one of those cases where Leach was pissed because the guy would not return to practice as fast as he thought he should. He took it out on the kid by placing him in those types of areas.

He was disciplining him for 1.being injured, 2.possibly malingering, and his 3.father being a meddler. I can't prove 2 or 3 but I have documentation from a Physician that he suffered a concussion

The kid should have used common sense and not have just went in the shed.

exactly. if he wanted to leave then he would have left. just like any player at practice. sure, he might get kicked off the team but at least he would have an argument.

if this actually happened the way he says it did, which i doubt, its pretty much "you put me in there and i am going to get you fired, do you know who my dad is"

I guess you guys don't see the use of the shed and electrical closet as a disciplinary action, to pressure the guy to return to practice. Leach was trying to be slick with it, and got caught. He should have known better. You can't do that kind of stuff these days and expect to get away with it.

...and that's pathetic, isn't it?

Imagine the old timers, the rough and tough football players rolling their eyes at this story. I do agree that Leach handled this situation the wrong way, but I also believe that this kid deserved it. There are so many emails talking about how lazy, spoiled, entitled, and unprofessional James is. You know that it must get old real quick.
