Now who is the one with conspiracy theories?
We are talking about the business/practice of medicine in Lubbock Texas.... Have you been to Lubbock? It is a large town. But it is the ONLY town. Until you get to Amarillo. This guy is not going to go against a prominent physician in the area. Again especially if he has ANYTHING to do with Texas Tech athletics.

So it's okay to assume tha this guy could be lying to protect hisself. But it's not okay to asssume a great amount of animosity between TT admin and boosters VS Leach. Got it.

So what you are saying is that a player can choose not to participate in a disciplinary action. Right?
Sure.... Knowing that he risks playing time or having his scholarship pulled. Which is/was Leach's only recourse that makes sense. If he would have just done only this this would be a blurb on a sports page. Instead he let a small, white, 2nd or 3rd string caliber receiver get under his skin and cost him his job and an 800K bonus check.

Sooooooooooo
Adam James chose not participate in a disciplinary action two days prior but he chose to play the victim and participate in another disciplinary action that eventually gets a coach fired. Do you not see the hipocrasy(sp) at work here?

I NEVER argued that Tech did not want Leach gone. In fact I think you are probably right about that. My point is Leach by doing this made their job alot easier. And it is HIS fault.

He refused to participate in conditioning. I assume you are talking about running stands. For a coach to ask a player to do this is not unheard of. So it is defendable. JAmes refused and was probably sent home. OK. He is a turd. Leach got pissed and tried to punish the guy two days later with the "shed." That is harder to defend. Leach is a 40-50 year old man. You have to be the bigger man. Send him home AGAIN. Then in the off season tell him you will re-eval his scholarship status.

who is "this guy" and who is this prominent physician?
All that has been stated is that James personal doctor, the one that diagnosed James, said that what leach did was appropriate.
And even if it wasn't, James still chose to go into the room.
I think some of you still think James was held against his will or something.

Nope, it was a disciplinary action. In the e-mail that James' position coach sent to cbssports, he stated that James and another WR were told to run stands as a disciplinary action. The other WR did it and admitted that he needed the action for extra motivation. Whereas James did not and badmouthed the staff to the other WR during the stands.
So, he chose not to do this but then chose to do something else. Your defense of his actions is weak and i just want you to see it.
BTW, I have never defended Leach's actions. I just find it funny that some here defend Adam James' actions.

I don't know who "this guy" is. The prominent physician is the Texas Tech Team Physician. That is huge in an area like Lubbock. And if you don't think it is not used in advertising for these physicians... It is said that James personal physician said what the team docs and trainers did was OK. I question whether it truly was the James family MD??? If it is a Lubbock MD who James just happened to see because he didn't want to see a team doctor then chances are this doctor from the same area is not going to question another doctor. Especially the "Texas Tech Team Physician"

And for all of this Leach would be WRONG. And should lose his job. You discipline a kid with playing time only. You take it away and if he is worth a damn as a player and competitor he will improve. But doing this just makes you look like the idiot
Thousands of the most successfull head coaches ever diagree with this pussy bullshite totally.

You can call it a disciplinary action. But it is still conditioning. Athletes are asked to run and run stands all the time. It keeps them in shape while injured. Putting a player in a room has no benefit athletically so it is much more difficult to defend. It was just done to shame the guy. Once again a head coach needs to be the bigger smarter man than his players.

Because you can't.
I have never defended James. He may very well be a complete turd. But Leach was a moron. And in being a moron made a turd look like he took the high road.

Please... There is no way you back this up. Find a coach who condones this.

The only reason Leach was a MOron was that he did this at a school where he did not have the support of the administration. If he had the school's suppoort, the doctor saying the treatment was appropriate was all the cover he would need. End of story.
Lazy little bitches get sent time-out all the time. People ride the stationary bike, sit in ice-baths,,,,etc. Apparently if you have a concussion at TTeck, you sit in the electrical closet!
The fact that the older James works at ESPN is "icing on the cake".

In every 1000 Americans, there are 10% that are an idiots and LSU alum wannabe belongs to that list.
You picked your side of the story, GOOD FOR U!, but do you know that the admin told Leach to signed an apology letter??? on the letter, it stated that Leach can be fired at any time..so Leach said "no" so they fired him.

He will get something but less than the value of the contract he just got fired from.
Could be a moot point if he finds another job that pays him something similar.

I think he'll get more since he was set up by the higher up since they got an email to prove it.
