And for all of this Leach would be WRONG. And should lose his job. You discipline a kid with playing time only.
THen most college football coaches would be unemployed.

He wasn't getting PT already.

He is apparently too savvy of a kid to do that.
exactly. Instead of walking off the field he decided to act like he was forced to do something that he chose to do.

Your Head Coach tells you to do something. What was James going to tell him? frick off?
That's actually what he told his position coach two days earlier when he was told to run the stadium steps.

Do you think Leach did anything wrong here?

Oh, and James doctor said doing so was good for him.
James doctor is a tool who will say anything to keep his status as Tech's "Team Physician" Because he probably makes major bank off being Tech's "Team Physician."

James did not see the team doctor. He flat out refused to see the team doctor.

oh, I see the problem, you don't know what you are talking about. It wasn't the team doctor, James refused to see the team doctor. It was James personal doctor.

No way.... With the way concussions are a buzz word now. He is done. And there may be other things behind the scenes that Leach has done that the admin. can pull out.
Now he is fricked career wise. What school will sign him on. A guy who can be argued is unsafe with kids. And a guy who sued a university?? He will be coaching high school ball if he is not damn careful.

Nope. Most coaches are too smart to do shite like this.

Then you pull his scholarship and cut him.

these people that are siding with James refuse to see this. They never comment on this fact. They just keep saying the same thing over and over again even though it's not true.

JAmes personal physician said this was good for him? His family physician in Lubbock?

His personal physician. Not the team doctor.

I think that you are seeing this tto much in black and white. When there really is alot of gray area here.
Coaches use odd ways of disciplining players all of the time. You show me 10 coaches who only use playing time to discipline their players and I'll show you that 8 of them have no discipline on thier team.

Again... His PERSONAL FAMILY physician? The same guy that probably checks Craig James prostate??? Because if this doctor practices in Lubbock or has anything to do Texas Tech he will say this also. No way a Lubbock MD will go against this other guy.

Now who is the one with conspiracy theories?

quote:I'm not saying he's 100% innocent here, maybe it could have been handled differently, but we STILL don't know the entire story. TT wanted Leach gone, and this was their out. Everything just seems so convenient for TT, from the 800k bonus they don't pay now to the 1.5-2.0m they also don't owe him now because he was fired with "cause". This wasn't a fireable offense IMO. I'd being willing to bet other coaches have done worse that their AD knows about and haven't been fired. Fact remains TT hated Leach and fired him one day before they owed him lots of $$$$$$$$
Do you think Leach did anything wrong here?

exactly what I was thinking. Of course now if we say yes his family physician that checks his daddy's prostate he is going to say that that guy is currupt. And we need to prove that the popes doctor said it was the right thing to do.

They scream and they yell. But the only thing they can do is pull playing time or a scholarship. When they try to do other things it is crossing a line. Someone mentioned a coach telling him to run stands and JAmes saying no. This conditioning drill type of discipline does not count. This can be argued helps the kid overall as a player. But putting in any type of room/shed does not.
All other discipline tools utilized are done so with the underlying knowledge that this coach can bench you or kick you off of the team.

No doubt about that. Some reports talk about embarrasments he's caused the university at conference meetings and other situations. There are times when eccentricities cause more problems than they're worth.

So what you are saying is that a player can choose not to participate in a disciplinary action. Right?
