Jordan is the greatest basketball player tp walk the planet. His on-court basketball iq is off the charts.

That being said, he is a horrendous talent evaluator.

LeBron’s more talented, Kobe’s mentally stronger and played consistently on both ends of court, that’s the distinction. I mean there’s a reason Kobe has 5 rings over his first 14 seasons and it took LeBron 13 seasons to win just 3 and spent 6 of those seasons flanked by 2 stars EACH on both teams, LeBron’s the Wilt Chamberlain of this era it’s obvious.

There is definitely a reason:

Yeah. Kobe played with Shaq in his prime.

Uhhh yeah, probably because Kobe played with a better player for 5 seasons and got 3 titles that way.

If Lebron ever played with someone better than him, they’d be racking up titles too

Imagine the rings Lebron could have if his big was prime Shaq instead of Verajou and Ilgaskus

Took Kobe only 14 seasons to win 5 rings and took LeBron 13 to win just 3 AND he was flanked by two stars EACH for 6 seasons with two different teams, one clearly or almost reached his potential as a pro player and the other underachieves despite being flanked by 2 star players EACH for most of a decade on two separate teams despite being the superior talent in this comparison, not to mention he stopped playing defense 3 years ago despite his renowned workout regimen and HGH consumption

LeBron played with Bosh/Wade and Kyrie/Love, the dude literally constructed two super teams and only won 3 championships, should really only have 1 but Ray Allen drained the most clutch shot of all-time and the Warriors self-destructed the last 3 games of the 16 Finals with the suspension LeBron instigated and 3 injuries to instrumental players

I mean he was within a Ray Allen all-time clutch 3 and Warriors self-destruction last 3 games of the 16 Finals of only winning 1 haha

Not even Jerry West would draft Kobe over LeBron.

Lebron needs to quit for two years and then come back and win more titles. Then his legacy will be cemented.

In 2000, Kobe averaged 15.6 ppg in the Finals and only played 5 of 6 games.

Shaq averaged 38 and 17 and won the series himself.

If we’re basing it strictly on talent hell yeah I’d draft LeBron over Kobe there, LeBron’s probably the most famous high school player of all-time but great talent combined with Mamba Mentality translates to greatness whereas the greatest talent (Wilt, LeBron, maybe Shaq in a way) combined with mental weakness translates to underachieving, it is what it is

It’s always funny to me that Kyrie/Love get listed as “super” teammates.

The second best player was Kyrie. He hasn’t won a single playoff series without Lebron. Despite playing his whole career in the East - you know, the conference that’s so easy Lebron doesn’t get credit for winning it.

Kevin Love has never made the playoffs at all without Lebron.

But yet, Kyrie+Love makes a super team

I have never understood this. Yes, Ray Allen made a big shot. But throughout Jordan's career, guys like John Paxon, Steve Kerr, Toni Kukoc alsp made some bigtime buckets. Why is it that only Lebron gets blamed for teammates making clutch shots.

Basically clinched the series in Game 4 with his last second shot at Market Square with Shaq fouling out, breakthrough moment

Does this ever go the other way? He was injuries away - Kyrie/Love ( who you defined as super teammates) - from winning a 4th title. And a historic and unprecedented salary cap glitch and FA transaction away from winning 5 or 6.

Rhetorical question because of course we don’t look at it that way

Are you suggesting Wilt, Lebron, Shaq underachieved??
