Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Wednesday that the 2026 season will be the last of his Hall of Fame-worthy career.

"Yes. This is it," Rodgers said when asked if this would be his final NFL season.

The four-time NFL MVP signed a one-year contract worth up to $25 million with the Steelers this week, reuniting with coach Mike McCarthy, his coach for 13 seasons with the Green Bay Packers.

Rodgers, 42, called it a "full circle" moment to be able to play for McCarthy again.

Where does he rank among the 00s/10s QBs? 3rd after manning /Brady? Higher than Wilson?

Brady
Manning
Brees
Rodgers

My personal rankings tho, but Rodgers has been on borrowed time in the NFL for quite some time but hey, id come back if they threw money at me too so no blame there

I have a feeling when he retires, he's going to retire to a hut in the middle of the desert getting blasted out of his mind every day.

I like the Manning debate, if these AI stats are correct, they have some big stats that are similar, and some not so much.

Aaron Rodgers has 10,000 less yards.

However, he has 12 less TDs and may pass Manning there this year.

HOWEVER, he has 128(!!!!) less interceptions than Manning.

Do want you want with Super Bowls. Though the Packer meltdowns that weren't on Rodgers are legendary.

Last 3 years of Green Bay contemplating and coming back just before camp.

2 seasons in New York that were on borrowed time.

Now 2 seasons in Pittsburgh on even more borrowed time.

7 years of retirement contemplation, 1 trip into the darkness.

There is no argument, stop. And I say that as someone who thinks Wilson’s prime is now pretty underrated due to how quickly he fell off a cliff (and has remained around a while as a starter/1b since that decline), plus his weird vibes. Rodgers is head-and-shoulders ahead.

I also don’t even really think of Rodgers/Wilson as the same generation. I consider Brady/Brees/the Mannings/Rivers/Ben/Rodgers one generation, then a bit of a gap to the current Mahomes/Lamar/Allan/Burrow/Herbert/Hurts/Lawrence generation (neither of those lists are all-encompassing).

There’s sorta this awkward in-between generation of Stafford/Luck/Newton/Wilson and not much else. And Newton was flash-in-the-pan, Stafford can almost be thought of more as the current generation because he wasted away in Detroit and then got his MVP / SB in LA, and Luck obviously retired extremely young.

Damn. I was hoping he'd go to Minnesota next year and face the Saints in the NFCCG.

I've been an NFL fan since the early 1970s and Rodgers is the greatest thrower of a football I've ever seen, even above Marino.

The combination of live arm and accuracy in his prime was nuts.

Talk about history repeating between him and Favre.

Brees has 9,000 more yards than Manning, 32 more TDs, higher completion percentage, less INTs, a higher passer rating, and beat Manning in a Super Bowl.

Are we basing Manning's lead on Super Bowl wins alone? The eye test? Pre-career hype? Name?

I get why Super Bowls can weigh Brady, I mean he has a bajillion wins and 10 appearances. But 2 Super Bowl wins to 1 just doesn't move the needle for me.
