I'd say this shite is unbelievable, but it is the NCAA so it is completely believable.
Eh, reading up on it, the rule seems to be in place for good reason.

They should consider just forfeiting the game IMO. Seems like it would be best for all parties. Hell, it's even a safety issue for Charleston Southern at this point.

They really should, but I doubt Chuck Southern would want to forfeit the check they would receive.

That must be the whole story. I believe it. I believe it about as much as Mike and Carol believed Greg, Marsha, Jan, Bobby, and Cindy broke their mom's favorite vase.

I can't tell if sarcasm because I must have missed that episode.

NCAA should allow them to spread out the suspension over a year. Hell they let Ohio play a bowl game with their players. Why not have some flexibility? Oh yeah $$$

They used book money to buy other school supplies in the book store. Things like paper, binders and pencils
Do we know if they then returned these items for cash?

The NCAA did the same thing back in 2007 to a ton of athletes at Alabama.

no no no no no no. The Bama athletes were scamming the system as advised by members of Bama's A.D.

They were doing a campus wide book exchange scam and pocketing cash. These guys at Charleston Southern were buying extra things a student actually needs through the course of a semester.

Now we know why Ryan Mallett didn't have a scantron.

So, you can't spend that money on anything other than books, yet if you don't spend that money, it will be taken back. Talk about getting the federal government treatment

this is one of the big problems in this country. all of our governments, local, state and federal have it and it appears so do our citizens.

spend it even if you don't need it or if it's been allocated for a different purpose. that money was for books. books. books. they get free books.

exactly what does the federal government remotely have to do with this? the NCAA is not the federal government or did you not know that? maybe civics should still be a required subject in high school.

You can't tell me you watched the Brady Bunch and missed that episode. "mom always says, don't play ball in the house"

I would bet these kids knew they shouldn't have bought whatever they did, and then after they get in trouble try to place the blame on someone else telling them they should do this. If you have kids it is very difficult to believe this story is the whole truth.

I'm sure it has to do with this, other than calculators what electronics does a book store sell?

I can assure you Charleston Southern doesn't see that shite. The school is a shite hole and small as frick. Only bible beaters and white trash from the boonies near Charleston go there. The book store is the size of a small
Gas station.

Shitty for the players though

You're right.

Send players out to collect that paycheck they won't see any of. It's the NCAA way!!!
