Heck of a run by OG. First playoff loss since 2019?! IIRC. No playoffs in 2020, then they won the championship from 2021-2025.

No, I was supposed to cover TC Loranger. I’m just following this one on GC. I try to avoid double headers. I am too old for that. I may not be able to avoid it Saturday.

Curtis v Jesuit rescheduled for Friday 5 and DH Saturday starting at 1.
With the forecast though, looking more like Saturday DH starting at 1 and Sunday if needed at 1.

Still need to get you out to a game next year to see it in person.
I know it's a newer sport to the area but it's been growing at the lower levels. Was even told yesterday Southside will have their first player signing to play NCAA lacrosse next Wednesday morning.

Because Barbe is a baseball school and WM is more of a baseball school than it once was I’d bet at Neville more kids play both because it’s a football school
But you also have schools like LCA where the better athletes are black and not into baseball- lots play basketball and run track and the better baseball players have a tough time competing for playing time in football- you will see more kids just playing baseball

Apparently it was a dad of a JV player that reported them to UIL? I like Jimmy Webster but he needs to get away form Lale Esquivel.

Think it’s been since 2012 since they’ve been shutout in a playoff game. Was at the game this evening. It was an impressive win for grand lake considering the history with OG. Coach Alton doing another great job with a really young team

I don’t want to out the kid but he’s a really good player. This hasn’t been a secret. Esquivel brags about this unapologetically and there has been a ton of talk about the hammer dropping on them all season. Coaches have openly talked about this all year. I didn’t actually think it would happen. Jimmy is the man and a great guy. Really good dude, and I truly believe he had nothing to do with this but it does feel like he turned his head to some of the stuff going on and ultimately this kind of stuff falls at the coaches feet.
