Big time upset. I just think it is a shame that they play one and done games when all other classes play best of 3. Ascension Catholic put it on St. Frederick pretty good as well 13-2. Ascension and CCA tonight at 8:30, late night game!
That's what their principals and coaches wanted.

Most Div 4 select and non select don’t have pitching depth so I understand the one game series. But I would like to see once you get to the quarterfinals it goes to a 3 game series.

thats pretty common in the high level travel ball world but ironically it wasnt Javorisky that was the issue, it was one of the kids from South Texas.

It wasn’t Lane. They moved in legally, which even if it’s for athletic purposes, won’t get flagged because you are actually living in the attendance zone.

The kid that got flagged was also a high level kid from a nearby by school that didn’t move and was using a fake address

There’s a difference between having everything you need to compete, and actually competing

EDIT- to clarify, WM has done the latter. That’s why they are who they are

I don’t understand this comment.

But a highly sought after coach will choose the better existing program that has demonstrated a commitment to his sport. Many great coaches are in situations where they haven’t been able to get their program the support WM has, Most of the times thru forces outside of their control.

sure the aaron judges of the world who are the best athletes can play all 3 but for the kid that is a good athlete but not exceptional, at some point he will need to choose IF HIS END GOAL IS TO PLAY AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL. i

Depends on what level of college and depends how good of a natural athlete the kid is - most kids in LA from 4A down who go on to play college I'd bet play 2 sports - especially if they have a good football program and the culture of the school is more football oriented

Even at STM - the better athletes who get baseball or football scholarships usually play both those sports

I'd like to see a breakdown for an SEC baseball roster and see how many played football all the way through HS

if you are playing in the sec....you are more than likely a great athlete

but like i know WM, barbe kids at LSU/ULL for the most part only played baseball in HS.

until this year, barbe didnt have many baseball players playing football too.

Several postponements

I'm aware of PBHS vs U-High moving to Sat at 2 and Sun 1:30 with a 4:30 if necc

CHNI vs Rosepine moved to Sat at 3 and 6, with an if necc on Sun at 2

Someone was sitting on that information all season, just to turn them in the day before the playoffs start

Maybe not in many of those cases, only a few people if any knew, the wrong person/right person found out or it took awhile to actually catch them.

More often than not coaches are very reluctant to turn other schools in when they are aware of it because as many coaches have told me “if someone followed every one of my players home, I’d bet several don’t live where they say the do”.

Or worse it could be like the ehret west Jeff Slidell 3 way district tie week 10 bonnabel realized they played an ineligible player - making wj ehret and Slidell all with one district loss
- by point system rules wj and Slidell should have been playoff team - yet the timing of bonnabel’s notification - it was decided on Wednesday of that week ehret would be in played hc in first round (Sunday night)went on to win state

There was also a lot of chatter that WJ knew but did not appeal in time

Supposed to be at Teurlings for four, but I don’t see how they’re going to play all seven innings until hours later.

It got pretty wet in the Nola area around the lunch hour. It's not currently raining but I believe more rain is expected today.

Yeah, when I asked why 1 game Sat and 2 on Sun, I expected it to be a gamesmanship move by U-High for some odd motive, but it’s due to LSU being at home

Still not sure how that truly matters. They play Sat and Sun at home vs SC. Why would that factor in?

Google 2016 University at Erath ... Erath won game 1. Weather wouldn't allow game 2 . pretty sure it defaults to single elimination

Clean, looks like they already moved it on the LHSAA site to 1 on Saturday.

I know ARCA has a turf field, but is there anyway they get their game(s) in tonight? They originally had planned on a double header today at 4:30 and 7:00.
