Not going to drop names . . . but you're probably correct.

I know one of the SMHS families caused a scene in Brusley and tried to fight the coaches after the district championship game. I wonder if it was the same family ? I will have to ask around.

Some SMHS parents don’t let it go and give the ump 7 kinds of hell. Umps had enough and tossed the main antagonizer.

It was the dad of the kid who got ejected after the homerun.

Wait, that really happened?? I heard about it through the grapevine.

The Brusley incident happened for sure. Heard the story from several good sources.
Need more info then ask The Next. Word is it was his family that caused the scene.

I certainly was not happy about the decisions that were made and wore my emotions on my sleeve that night for sure. The outcome didn’t help matters either. We also had other family attending who were equally unhappy. But fight the coaches? Sounds like people might be exaggerating.
There were lots of families that were just as unhappy. But I didn’t hear any that wanted to physically fight anyone. So, maybe they are talking about me.
We didn’t even talk to the coaches after the game. We actually don’t talk to the coaches at all about playing time or coaches decisions. If our son is unhappy about that, it’s up to him to talk to the coach.

Years ago - bans/banishment would have been handed out.
Especially when there is an added emphasis on sportsmanship in ALL sports from the state and even national level - HR hitter was getting DQ'd even in a run rule game.

Tigers are pretty good - that's a great matchup.
Good to hear.
I know I'm repeating myself, but I was impressed with VC 2028 RHP Cruz Hebert in the game vs. Notre Dame.
He threw 5-6 innings and was a no decision.
VC had the lead going into the seventh.

Steering coaches away from all gigs if you ask me. Delusional parents and uncoachable kids who think they are mike trout

It is way worse at privates I promise you

I’m curious as to what decisions you are talking about. I am just an outsider looking in that had a kid graduate in the BR area a few years ago. Just looking at both of those teams you are referring to, I don’t believe St Michael is anywhere near the talent level of Brusly. Was a “coaching decision” really the root cause of a blowout loss?

St. Mary's at Vermilion Catholic on Wed.
I’m glad there is one feature game on Wednesday. But with weather expected Thursday-Saturday, LHSAA should let all series start on Wednesday if the teams agree.

Checks his swing on the next pitch, ball hits the knob, bounces fair in no man’s land, and kid hustles for the single. Momentum was with the Panthers and they looked to walk it off. But the SMHS pitcher was unfazed. Strikes out the next 2 and forces a pop up to end the threat.
After catching almost 3 full games and over 60 pitches, the Buckeye pitcher begins to show fatigue. Warrior leadoff in the 9th works a hitters count, then proceeds to launch a double off the wall to right center. Next batter flies out and runner doesn’t advance. A hard hit grounder to 2nd looked to be the 2nd out and would put the go-ahead run on 3rd. But another weird hop bounces the ball off the 2nd baseman’s glove and rolls into center field. Runner on 2nd is waived home and scores standing up and batter moves to 2nd, SMHS leads 6-5. Looking to add insurance runs, after a strikeout, Warriors attempt a steal of 3rd. Umpire was out of position and missed the call, ending the top of the inning. But there was no quit in Buckeye.
After a leadoff ground out, next batter lines a single to center. The entire town of Buckeye looked to be in the stands and they were going nuts. Momentum starts building for the Panthers and it feels like déjà vu all over again. But the next batter hits a hard ground ball just left of 2nd base. SS snags it on the run, flips it to the 2nd baseman who throws to first in one smooth motion. 1st baseman goes all out with a full split, just in time to complete the only double play for the Warriors on the weekend.
WOW. What a write up. Thanks for posting

Got St. Mary's at Vermilion Catholic on Wed.
Both of these teams played their last regular season game on April 13. A sixteen day layoff to play one seven inning game with your season on the line is absolutely brutal.

All games can start Wednesday, most teams choose not to. But I’m with you with rain moving in late Wednesday night into Thursday it’s best to try to get the games in without any hiccups

A lot of teams that had byes played scrimmages last week but it’s hard stay in rhythm leading up to playoffs

In the past before power ratings the 5A regular season would still be going on while the lower classes started their playoffs

sorry guys, been off since thursday, i dont get on when with family
but yea ND straight up out hit St Louis. I picked St Louis because they were very deep but ND out played them in pretty much every part of the game unfortunately and especially with timely hits. They earned it
