How does pitch count and days of rest work during the playoffs in a best of 3 series?

Alexandria beat Captain Shreve 2-0. Game 2 and, if necessary, 3 are today. Winner gets BM.

St Thomas More sweeps Lafayette. They will face Rummel next.

Jesuit beats Tioga 5-1 in game 1. Game 2 and, if necessary, 3 are today. Winner gets Curtis.

Catholic sweeps Aug. They will face Holy Cross or Acadiana.

Meh. For this year, I’d give it a C+. Too many missed opportunities and still not a lot of player development.

At times, the focus seems to be on getting ready for next year and politicking for the full time gig. These players could be really good but there’s no baseball discipline. A “rah-rah” type coach doesn’t get you that. It gets you Ed O. They need a program builder, not a flash in the pan. I would need a lot of people to tell me no and then I would feel like I was settling for a current assistant.

Hines kid hit 2 HRs in a game w a walkoff to win a playoff series a few years back IIRC

But yeah, your point is not missed by me

I saw them twice this year and wouldn’t say they were overly talented, so somebody must be doing something

More than I assume you would guess. Made it to the semis in 16, and this year would be their 5th in the quarters. Beat some really good teams along the way too. Certainly not elite and very inconsistent. But the school is comparatively young and athletics was a much lower priority in previous admins. The next few years will be telling.

I do get where you’re coming from

You don’t want your best players transferring out, which I know has happened

42 years old is hardly a young school, especially having the growth benefit following judge parker's evisceration of EBR public schools.

Roughly they same age as PBS and Dunham.

As in compared to the other “big boy” schools like Catholic, BM, Jesuit and the like. PBS and Dunham have also prioritized athletics and aren't hamstrung by DioBR.

BM is only 15 or so years older. Catholic wasn't always like it is now.

Jesuit beat Tioga 15-3 in game 2 to move on to play Curtis.

Rummel @ St Thomas More and Jesuit v Curtis at Harahan make up 2 of the quarterfinals in D1 Select. BM and Catholic waiting on other series to finish.

Notre Dame swept St. Louis, which LSU 777 (whose posts I enjoy) had going to the finals.

Drew LeJeune cranked it up in Game 1 offensively and pitched Game 2. I thought I might've misunderstood the coach about LeJeune's pitching availability after the VC game, but I heard him right.
