Dufrene and first baseman collided in first inning. Dufrene came back to pitch the second. He was in a 30 pitch count. Leblanc was always the starter for Saturday. Dufrene used for away games, he's ready to go Tuesday.

Might be the worst team I’ve ever seen in HS
As an OPHS graduate when we were good on a local and state level, yes I hate it.

Big problem for 2-5A next year, Peabody would get run ruled by Ouachita. My kids below average 7-8 grade team played Peabody JV with a couple varsity players and beat them 20-0.

If Ouachita doesn’t turn it around you get out in a bad spot power points wise with those 4 games if the current set up is left in tact.

Barbe beat Sam Houston 4-2 saturday, Jordin Griffin with another monster shot. Barbe has Sam Houston again tuesday, then Sulphur thursday and again Monday, southside next tuesday and thursday to finish out district

that district is really tough

Sam Houston finishes up with Lafayette and Sulphur in district play.

So next two weeks will decide a lot for sulphur, they win the 4 big games and they will win the district. Asking a lot for anyone to beat barbe 2 games in a row but Sulphur can do it for sure.

Here is the latest Power 25 from PBR

It would probably affect Ruston and Pineville more than WM or ASH

WM dropped from 6 to 9 after beating Ouachita twice. Brink of a bye to not even hosting the quarters is a massive penalty for forced district games.

I bet next year that becomes one game…

But yeah it makes your power rating worse. It doesn’t make your team worse lol

If we’re gonna play district games, shouldn’t they count for more in power ratings? Maybe throw a multiplier on wins or something. Shouldn’t get punished for who you’re required to play.

Possibly, I am not that well versed in how it works. But Ruston and ASH are pretty equal, we are slightly better pitching and probably a touch more power. They are probably more sound defensively and can put pressure on you when on the bases and can cover the outfield amazingly well.

They are 16 in NS and we are 12 Select, but they have survived the OPHS games and we have them this week, so I am sure we will drop.

If Roach throws well against WM it can be a pretty close game, the top of the Ruston llineup swings it well.

Or let the coach elect to take the game or not prior to playing it. Should give coaches about 2 a year they can just leave out. I like the two game series with each team and dont really want to see us go to 1 each, but I would understand.

As mentioned previously Peabody comes into 2-5A next year, which will make it a juggernaut basketball conference, but football and baseball will see them get absolutely destroyed. Pineville is glad to see them come over in football.

You think they save him and don’t match him up with Cupit?

Btw WM beats Benton tonight 8-3. That’ll be a 50 point power point win. Should help with the district games that dropped us.

Opelousas Catholic gives up six runs in the bottom of the first inning, then gets six scoreless innings from Lane Dugas in relief to win at Erath 9-6.

I'll be back tomorrow for ARCA vs. Erath.

I’ll be at PBHS vs Dunham Wed

I was all looking forward to us playing Gonzaga Prep from D.C. since it was someone different, and they called the game due to rain in the bottom of the first inning

I would think they try to steal one by out guessing when Cupit will throw, he is just damn near unbeatable for most high school lineups. You just arent going to string hits off of him in order to score more than a couple a game on a good night.

I am glad to see yall handle Benton.

I may not be accurate, but it seemed that Kross Gillen (LSU-E, Opelousas Catholic) was throwing harder than anyone I’ve seen this season.

He went 0 innings last night. Erath scored six in first and then no runs.

I like Gillen. I would be happy to see OC win D4.

I'm not sure who you've seen, but the PBR list is close to accurate on those that I have, as far as top velo

The last few games I've attended have had plenty guns, scouts, and cross-checkers.

I've seen Kross pitch for 2 years, but not this season. He was complaining about his shoulder some, then went out and had his best outing this season. I don't think Willis has him projected as an arm. He'll play a position, likely OF, and hit.

At his best, I'm sure OC might consider him the ace, but they have 4 arms with little drop off from top to bottom. That's why I say OC would much rather have their title decided by a series, not a game.
